Metroid: Zero Mission coming to NA VC tomorrow

Now you can beat the newly unlocked original Metroid.

I already have it on Virtual Console on my Wii U. I had beaten Ridley when I lost interest shortly after. I suppose it's still there. I beat Mother Brain on Amiibo Tap, though, so I feel like the game doesn't have much left to offer me.

Awww yeah, finally managed to get a run without saving (this is on GBA, but the Wii U release motivated me to keep playing).

Now if I can just learn to do AWS right, not screw up everything in Chozodia (including the escape spark), get a better Charge Beam Worm pattern, and refine tons of movement, it'd be alright.

Think I'm gonna take a break for a while right now, but the next time I play I wanna try to get 100% again. Haven't done that or low% or hard mode since the game first came out. I never even got the fast 100% ending lol.

Beat it today. Really liked it, not sure I'll try getting more of the items I didn't grab, and I doubt I'll really give speedrunning a try, but maybe the itch will strike me. The post Mother Brain stuff feels really tacked on but it was fun, so I won't complain.

The post mother brain stuff threw me for a loop. Haven't finished the game yet, but I like what they tried to do here and love the concept behind it all. Feels Fusion-ish. I died a lot. But it was cool crawling (Metroid can crawl!) through shafts and shit while being chased by space pirates. Just got my gear back and annihilated those bastards for their deeds.

I have one complaint. I know this and Super Metroid take place on the same planet, but the bosses and pacing and scenario feel identical in many ways.
