They will always open up for pre-orders at 1:00 PM, Pacific Time. I ordered mine when it was 12:59 PM. At 12:58 PM the slots weren't even open. :lol

I am fairly certain that was not the case yesterday. More like 3:30 or so (Pacific).

We may be misunderstanding each here, but you just seem to contradict yourself. Just because someone is able to afford something, does not mean that they have the financial means to do so in my opinion. You say that it isn't in your best interest. This says that there are more important things to pay for like bills and such. This means you dont have the financial means to buy it. That's how I see it, doesn't mean you're poor. Big difference..

People spend money of stuff that is of lower priorities all the times so just b/c there are more important things for that money to be spent on it doesn't mean people can or will spend that money on said higher priorities.


Having the flexibility to spend the money on it and not spending the money on it (for whatever reasons) doesn't mean I lack the ability/means to do so, should I choose.

My main point is that I could buy this bundle and a regular PS3 and it still wouldn't interfere with my other financial obligations, but of course that would be very irresponsible of me.

The console itself will be pretty rare (current rumor is 5 days and 1000 each day). LE game itself will be somewhat rare although I doubt it will be as rare as the Subsistence LE.

4 days in and Konami still hasn't figured out Canadian shipping. I doubt it will last for 5 days only as they keep promising that Canadian shipping will be sorted eventually – unless Konami lies.

update: someone on CAG canceled their order and this was in the email:

We would also like to inform you that the bundle being sold on our site is a limited quantity. This LE bundle only makes up 1/10 of 1% of the PS3 consoles in the U.S.

I am sure someone into sales age knows how many ps3s there are in the US and 1/10 of 1% is 0.1%

edit: If it is ~5million that would go with the 1000 for 5 days.

I was on the verge of buying one three or four times today, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I think the gray looks awesome, but more expensive + smaller memory + no BC + doesn't match my TV + wait even longer to play MGS4 was enough to make me settle for the regular MGS4 bundle. It was a really tough decision, but I think I made the right one. I have had the LE of the game preordered for a while now, so I'm good there.

Still looks so cool though.

Yeah, my wife is pretty cool with my tech needs. I can't say I've recently bought her anything big like a dining room table, but I am proud of my baby b/c she bought her first game tonight. It's only Tetris Evolution for the 360 (she LOVES Tetris), but I consider it an important baby step in the right direction. She was so excited to play it she popped it in even though that meant her staying up a little later than usual. I'll have her converted soon enough. :lol

For people who Paypal'd – they would take the amount out immediately that's how it works. So essentially Konami is making a small amount of interest on you but what's a few cents they make on you after you've handed over $600+ already.

ah, well then maybe. but then the 2nd day was tuesday, so it might just take some time since its an online order? but who knows, doesnt really matter either way. you could always just pay the minimum balance of your card if you dont have the funds

Another question- I might be able to get my parents to let me use a credit card (I use cash and checks for the most part) but I doubt they'll let me do it unless I can cancel the order and get a refund before June 12 if I don't have the money by then. Can the order be cancelled?
