Given that Eurogamer, Emily Rogers and Ubisoft are about as Nintendo friendly as sources outside of Japan get, I wouldn't be surprised if all leaks we currently have are sanctioned or even controlled by Nintendo to drum up anticipation. If it wasn't intended, it certainly has that effect.

I don't care for the exclusivity but I'd be happy to have BG&E 2, even more if it's a prequel or if it includes a bigger part of Jade's story before first BG&E events. And even more if we have to control her father

BG&E is considered a cult classic like Bayonetta, isn't it? Obviously the mainstream crowd don't care but I imagine the people that talk about video games on forums like NeoGAF probably do.
Indeed but I don't generally consider "soon" a month away if its gaming related and coming from the horses mouth, especially with it coming on the tail end of EGX. That said, for obvious reason, PGW is perfect for Ubisoft. I'd have just expected such teases closer to PGW to keep the hype/interest going near reveal.

i honestly think if done well, it could blow up way better than bayo 2 ever had a chance of doing. first one had a great universe and solid mechanics, with an intelligent female protag and some good humor. good variety as well, hovercraft was fun, photos were fun.
having said that i also agree with your second point, which is why i think Nintendo might be funding it. it can be their off season "Zelda"
its a risky game that could pay off if marketed well/properly, or just bomba LUL, but ill eat it up.
Its not really being talked about, just teased, plus BG&E is a game that has been teased for years, and UBIsoft already openly said they have other NX games.

Yup. And rumors have suggested it's literally the same situation as Bayonetta: Nintendo paid for an exclusive sequel for their next system.
I mean, until that rumor started, people just assumed BG&E2 was long dead. Yet here we are. If anything, this has me more excited for NX info than the game itself.
I didn't mean to say it's bad! Some of my favourite games are poorly selling cult classics. And I honestly don't know a lot about it.

My understanding is that it's not a highly successful game where the sequel was difficult to make or had development problems, but the sort of game that's difficult to justify a sequel for without doing something to reduce the risk. Like the sort of game you'd see on Kickstarter.

I have a few doubts about the BG&E2 we're expecting to be NX exclusive.
I can see it either being a PS360 build that wasn't finished by the time the generation was ending or UbiArt Framework game.
I can also see Destructoid just being flat out wrong and it skipping NX entirely. Don't imagine Nintendo would've appreciated Ancel posting about it if it was being paid for by them. It's also a sequel to an expensive game that sold very poorly when Nintendo has their own games to work on. We'll see.

Just a couple days ago my import copy of the BG&E HD showed up two weeks early; it was a sign all along!
hey i dint take it that way. so dont feel bad. i think most of us agree to an extent, it was a good to great game that dint make it big, but had the potential to do so (def deserved another shot).

not a dealbreaker tho. the dealbreaker is if it turns into ubi formulaic towers junk. but with Ancel there im imagining that wont be the case, guess we'll see.

IF a company were to purposefully leak info -- which happens much, much less than people seem to always think, I believe -- it would be much more concrete than the scattershot bits and pieces we've gotten so far. All that does is muddy the waters, which is the last thing a company wants during the lead time for a new product.

Because at this point, the game not being exclusive to the NX would probably cause more meltdowns than the opposite going by a lot of the posts here. : p
I can see it being an NX exclusive if Nintendo helped fund it, and that's totally fair. Otherwise, I can't see it being a PS4 exclusive since they've already got WiLD, and I imagine it'd just be multiplatform. Alternatively, it could be a timed exclusive for the NX. Point is, we don't know, but we should be excited no matter where it ends up.

The rumor from Destructoid would be a Bayo2 example, not a ZombiU/Rayman example.

If this is like Bayonetta 2 where Nintendo is actually funding the project, this won't be happening.
The fact he tweeted about it certainly makes it doubtful that it's an NX exclusive. Nintendo even got pissy about their Canadian branch saying that the NX might be revealed in a Nintendo Direct...so it seems highly unlikely they'd allow something this blatant.
Pretty excited for this to finally come out. If it's not a NX title as rumored I'll pick up the XB1 version.
