well, she wanted to shed light on an initiative for an initiative called "Joining Forces" which provides financial, medical and social support for military families.

Race in is Homestead, FL , major Air Force base is located there.

NASCAR donated lots of $ to that cause and probably invited her to be the Grand Marshal.

Florida is an important electoral state.
