I'm just really glad all of the gamers I know in person buy multiple consoles and just play everything. Granted I'm older than a lot of these hardcore console warriors.

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't see a $500 Xbox hitting enormous numbers or having any major impact on the console split we have today. It's a niche product that will sell immediately to that niche and fall off sharply afterwards.

That being said, of course they'd say it had high demand. Without knowing their target, that means little.

I was going to cancel and pick up in Sainsbury's for all those juicy nectar points with the 5X voucher, but they said they are only selling through Argos. Went to Tesco today, they had a sign but only doing pre orders with store pickup, website says "we no longer sell this product"

Your best bet might be Curry's or Smyth's, I don't know even then tbh.

It's just to expensive for me to bother. I bought a Pro because its the best way to play exclusives that I cant play on pc,but even though I own a nice hdr 4k tv why bother owning one?

If it helps, Nintendo Switch has been available at my Sainsbury's, every time I go, since launch, so it all depends on the locals I suppose. Give MS store a call, they might be able to sort you out. I bought my original from them without any issues.

Honestly contemplating if I should try an Xbox console. Never had any. About to get a 4k tv, and I’m thinking of getting this just for its 4k bluray support. I guess the slim would be fine but why bother with that when I can just add a few more to get the latest version.

It's certainly worth thinking about buy this instead, it's really not cheap but it's unlikely that you'll get more for your money in terms of pure hardware.

I sort of accidentally bought a 4K/HDR TV from a friend who was selling theirs and I'd PS4 Pro since launch and I'd been really happy with that but once I had a 4K/HDR TV it made me think about one of these or the S model.

The truth is that after seeing what a difference the Pro made to games on both a 1080p and 4K/HDR TV it convinced me to buy this version and I say that as somebody who hasn't played that often on the Xbox this generation.

I want the 4K UHD plater but I also really want to play Forza Horizon 3 at 4K with HDR so it made sense for me to buy this version, even though the asking price is really high.

Of course, if you're primarily concerned about the 4K UHD player then you may be better waiting for the inevitable sale prices of the S over the Christmas season.

I bought the Scorpio edition of this simply because I really the stand it's included with that version but not the other so it's saved me a bit of money getting that version. I'm really looking forward to it turning up on Tuesday.

Honestly though, what would you expect them to say? Also, why wouldn't it be in high demand? It's seemingly a return to form for the Xbox brand and an opportunity for Xbox fans to feel good again news-wise.

I am personally excited to wash my hands of the OG XB1...I was happy with it, and own over 400 games in the eco-system, but it really is time for MS to start closing the door on the Don Mattrick disaster.

I don't see myself getting one any time soon but I'm interested to see how well it does. I don't have a 4K TV and after feeling a little burned by Pro support for 1080p, I'll wait and see how X1X supports it before I get too excited. Personally I think both Sony and MS jumped the gun on 4K.

Think of it this way for many of these stunted adults. the idea that 'others' have something better irks them in ways it's hard to explain or understand. In school it was because they couldn't afford it hence it was 'rubbish', I suspect a lot of that nonsense lingers in these discussions as well.

Some people say they hate the idea of monopolies and yet would pop a nut if 'their' company was the only one.

Competition makes this industry strive. The more the better.

That is true, but at least when somebody is banned you would know it would be a while before they made an alt account, if at all. On the other forum they is no wait times to get in. You get in instantly (I guess they are trying to pad their registrations to compete against this forum) and I ALREADY see onemanasylum (yes, that onemanasylum) under the alias Allseeingeye going ham with free authority. He posts the exact same way; typos, syntax and all, and his post history reads like it was straight from N4G. If he ever gets banned (likely never), he can just create a new account and instantly get in. At least here it's not like that.
