Gotta milk those properties am I right? I shudder to think how much ink they think they can squeeze out of the Gears franchise they just bought. The saddest thing about this is that, thanks to a definite decrease in quality and growing apathy towards them (with the exception of maybe Crackdown), it seems like the biggest series in MS' tool chest are just them perpetually beating a dead cat as if to extract one last yelp of cash. It's downright depressing to watch.

Especially when you look at the total lack of new first party franchises. All the big new ips from MS are all contracted 3rd parties. Their first party studios are literally franchise farms.

There is no 'limit' in the world of Sci-Fi. Look at Star Wars, Star Trek, StarGate, and so on. When one doe closes they simply invent a window.
