min.us (better than imgur?)

Hey, I have a suggestion for the OS X menubar app to go with the other few I suggested but haven't seen implemented yet.

Can we get a monochrome black option in the color choice list? The grey icon is too light colored and clashes with my black motif. Like so:

Notice how it stands out?

I tried looking for the resources to change it with PhotoShop but apparently it's not in the app bundle? So I can't do anything about it myself. I want it solid black so it doesn't stand out so much. Thanks!!

They are replacing old pictures with random new uploads meaning that transvestite porn could be found in the la noire thread and it would no doubt just be a matter of time before more porn was discovered in old threads. So tinypic can fuck off.
 
I've been using Minus for couplethree months now, love it!

I used photobucket for my random image uploading needs, but pretty much stopped going there. I'd actually pay money for Minus, awesome service.

So my biggest issue right now is that the minus chrome extension doesn't remember my username/password and without being signed into my account images don't upload properly, well they upload but then the tab closes and I can't see the uploaded image.

Very interesting profile! :) Loving it.

Feel free to share videos, files etc.. as well and put them into larger galleries.
 
The drop-down bar to change the folder view (Grid, List, Lights) doesn't work in Chrome or IE. The options disappear as soon as you take your mouse off the main button.

Also not thrilled that I can't see how many people have starred my folders now.
 
As you may all know, I use a lot of gifs and the tinypic banning left me devastated.

I was going to use imgur, but a free account only allows viewing of the last 200 or so uploads, apparently. That just won't do.

Minus seems like the perfect place for a new home. What's the size limit for an upload?

I think it's like 2gb or something like that. I have creepy-gaf gifs uploaded that are 60mb+ in size. Minus is pretty great for hosting and organizing all that stuff.

- Users can now Reshare (onto their profile) and Star your galleries, we'll add the number back soon

We have no gallery limit - you can have up to 200 files per gallery

each file is 2 GB limit ;)

I do use min.us now over imgur because of imgur's 2mb gif limit. I don't really like to use gif's that big but it does suck when imgur says no just because it's 2.4mb or something like that. I suspect this site will blow up soon in popularity if it hasn't already.
 
Hey minus, your official Android app always reports "Failed to upload" when sharing from my device (Samsung Galaxy S 2.3.7), though sometimes the photo actually uploads.

Minus has 2 GB per file limit and lot of cool features if you sign up and play around in Dashboard + Profile

Please help su spread the word and use http://minus.com/pages/invite , no where near "Popular" compared to the big boys :)

We're releasing a huge update in the next week or so with lot of improvements - stay tuned and for now, be sure to check out the new Minus Explore on the website, and play around and send us your feedback!
 
Maybe I'm stupid but I can't find a way to upload from a URL. For sites like this one where I don't hotlink it would be easier if I could upload from a URL into min.us, versus downloading the image first, then uploading from my computer. I'm I just missing the option?
 
Today the total Views counter on the profile page disappeared. A moment of silence, please.
 
I have to say, I'm not really a fan of all the gallery controls being packed together at the bottom with simple text links. Important options like publishing the folder have just as much space as minor things like flagging and I always feel like I have to hunt for the option I want. Grouping all the controls together makes sense, not prioritizing anything doesn't. I'm hoping there is a new UI element in the pipeline and the text options are just temporary. I can't fathom new users having an easy time navigating them.
 
The uploader is a hot mess right now. Uploading multiple files at once causes it to bug out, the progress bar totally spazzes out, the file order gets scrambled and it fails to upload some of the files. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Thanks Spire, we're prioritizing it more - but grouping it together is to keep it simpler for new users so they can find all the options.

Yeah, I understand grouping it together, it just feels a little cluttered with everything being in a small text list. I'm sure a version that's easier to navigate is on the way. And if it sounds like I'm always complaining, it's because I'm on minus every day and I love it. I just hit the 4gb mark and I host nothing but images and gifs. I can't even imagine trying to upload and keep track of everything without it.

Minus changed the gif game, not even joking. Before it was all about downsizing your gif to fit under 10mb or something and finding a weird Scandinavian site to host it. Now I can pull stuff directly from 720p videos and make stuff like this. That's not even the biggest gif I have, I've got stuff over 60mb. Minus is great.
 
Does the Firefox plug-in stop working for people after a while?

When I click the "M", the pop-up menu doesn't open anymore and I have to restart the browser to get it working again... it also means I can't use the right click -> upload menu anymore.

Minus changed the gif game, not even joking. Before it was all about downsizing your gif to fit under 10mb or something and finding a weird Scandinavian site to host it. Now I can pull stuff directly from 720p videos and make stuff like this. That's not even the biggest gif I have, I've got stuff over 60mb. Minus is great.
