Like I said I still love the service, so it's not too much of a problem.
I guess click it then right click and click open image in new tab.

Isn't that a problem with chrome itself? I remember chrome doing that shit to me before.

I continue to have issues with minus' speed.

I think it's a bit better, but minus is still the one last to load after everything else -- this in reference to the GIF and PC screens threads.

Its been going really slow on and off for the last couple of weeks or so. I've been using other sites to upload my gifs, it takes so long for them to load on minus.com.

Hasn't been slow for me...
Thoughts on the redesign:
- Looks good. Had a number of issues earlier in the day, but they've all been worked out.
- Being able to sort by Views and Title is awesome, and very helpful for someone like me who is closing in on having 200 folders.
- The option to set the default folder viewer mode is nice.
- Is being able to embed folders new? Because it's amazing.
- The longer file list in Linear Mode is really nice. It's been around for a few days now, but I figured I'd compliment it anyway.
- I preferred it when the message and notification alert was visible without having to open the drop-down list.

Don't you just have to click on them once? what you are linking to is the thumbnail I think. At least works fine for me.

I'm uploading from a URL, the file is a gif, and then when it gets uploaded it has a play button and the gif is animated on the Minus site but the direct link below is just a still JPG.
So whenever I try to use Minus to host gifs, they show up internally as animated gifs but whenever I try to post them in a place such as GAF, the direct link I am given by Minus to do so is just a static JPG.

When you click on the gif and it animates, right click the gif and use 'copy image location'. Thats what I do.
Hmm that is quite odd considering he only ever posts in here and I don't think he has broken any rules (from what I've seen).

I came here to ask minus for help with the extention, and this is what I see... -_-
I talk with one of the co-founders on occasion. He says the speed issue was temporary and that they're constantly upgrading and optimizing their servers.
He just answered questions in here. Other developers answer questions about their products, not sure why this was any different.

Plenty of other guys here who talk about their products/services. He only ever posts here so it was hardly crazy advertising spam.

Apparently he posted in a different thread when someone mentioned a minus problem and his comment came over as too advertising for it.
Yeah it seems the mistake was to take it outside this thread. Is it a permaban?

Nope, he/she/they didnt even start the thread, and more than anything they were just answer questions and reading our constructive criticisms....which is something developers have been doing on GAF for a while.
Im really curious why he/she/they got banned.
P.S I actually just came to say thank god for Minus, excellent service and arguably the best image hosting site on the net.

Been using min.us for months now, they are the best. I hope to god they keep image sizes the same, I love hq gifs and its one of the only hosts that can handle my 20mb gifs

I've been using minus for a few months now and i definitely prefer the fact that they keep the resolutions of pics compared to say photobucket or imgur. The one thing I wish was easier with the minus app if they mader it as easy to upload photos while on the go. In the photobucket app, you upload and then just select a variety of links for the one photo. On the minus app, I have yet to have something as easy as photobucket's app.

google takes like 3 minutes to make a account, send a referral to your new account.
But if I created a new account why would I care about one extra gig if I got 10 on the second account.

and yeah, sad to see the minus guy banned. Think it was the guy I talked to through email briefly and he was super helpful and nice.
Does anybody have a problem with the minus desktop tool?
Every once in a while, it'll disconnect or something (I'm not sure exactly what it is).
What happens is that I'll be unable to upload using that tool, and I'm also unable to look at my folders. If I open the window of the desktop tool, there's a message saying: "Failed to get folders"
It works if I log out, then log back in. It's kind of annoying because when I log back in, it doesn't automatically start uploading whatever I dragged in earlier, so when I drag it in again, it'll upload two copies of the same thing.
Does anybody else have an idea of what may be causing this?

Im getting random people following me on minus, is this common for everyone, i think ive got something like 30 followers, i dont know any of them.
Does everyone get random followers?
