If they make a new RPG on Wii U, I hope it's like Lost Odyssey in terms of quality. With the exception of the narrative, I really liked that game.

Blue Dragon was okay at best and Last Story wasn't good at all

Yeah, Nintendo really backed them with The Last Story. Boy, what I wouldnt give to have that hurricane of unbelieveable support behind my personal product.

JRPG developers should start focusing on PC development.

PC gaming isn't at all popular in Japan, and western PC gamers probably would rather play western RPGs. I don't know how well the Ys games or Last Remnant sold on Steam but I'd imagine not enough to get Japanese game developers to notice. It's a shame though, I'd prefer playing RPGs on PC to handhelds.

Anyways this would be awesome news... Mistwalker + Monolith on one platform = SOLDDD (even after the shitty E3 reveal of WiiU)

I never played a game made by Sakaguchi before. Based on reviews, Last Story seems to be a mixed bag.I'm more excited about what Monolith Soft is up to.

Same but it's been a year since Xenoblade and I'm looking at this as my console jrpg stopgap fix.

My god I had the fucking weirdest dream last night.

I dreamed that Mistwalker's Wii U game was unveiled and confirmed for the west, published by Nitnendo.

That's not the freaky part, it's the game itself.

It was a first-person RPG where you're fighting giant mutant zombie (more akin to Dead Space) androids, and it was very violent where their heads, eyes, and what not can be blown off. It was in a futuristic setting, I even remember it being shown in this high-tech building in a theme park.
