Man, I want to text this to all the Giants fans I know. But I can't, since it's against the O's.

True.

I'm worried now though. I figured Peavy could maybe get beat up, but Petit sucked too.

Tomorrow would be Hudson backed by Vogelsong/Lincecum for long relief, then add MadBum to the short inning relievers. As long as SF actually gets to Guthrie I'm okay with that.

That rendition of God Bless America was more impressive than anything I've seen from the Giants tonight. I have my fingers crossed the same team shows up tomorrow, but I doubt it. Every time I think the Royals land a knockout punch SF comes back stronger.

True. Guess I'm just shook by how badly Petit got rocked :lol

Glad Posey is getting some rest. Makes sense.

I didn't think they would really do it, but seeing this catastrophe the Giants might be forced to use Bumgarner until he drops tomorrow.

Unbelievable stat: After today Bumgarner will still have more innings pitched this postseason than the entire rest of the Giants rotation combined. That explains, first of all, how the Giants are in the World Series; just need to have one dominant pitcher and have him pitch all the innings. And secondly, it explains the massive predicament they are in trying to get innings from anyone else.

Bumgardener is going to die out on the mound tomorrow.

edit: Actually the Royals SHOULD be able to hit him tomorrow it will be their third time seeing the guy in this series. I know he's got some special stuff but seeing it 3 times in one series should be enough, maybe.

New drinking game, spend a day watching sports and take a shot everytime an announcer or speaker says AT THE END OF THE DAY

Reynolds literally just said it 3 times in one sentence.

Bumgarner ain't starting tomorrow.

He'll throw a few innings if needed in relief, but that's it.

It's late as shit here but I'm up watching the game on AFN right now. The Royals are playing pretty well tonight.
Everyone from back home has been going crazy on FB for weeks. I would see all of the posts about "Taking the crown" and I would scroll past them. I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon or anything, but I am a bit excited at the possibility of them winning. When is it that they last won the series, '85 I heard?
I was born in '86 and was a diehard Royals fan for quite a while. From probably 5yo and on I had a book that I kept track of all of the player's stats in real-time during games, which is funny since now I can barely figure out pre-algebra but I was doing some serious math as a young kid. I went to numerous games. I still own a ton of memorabilia and cards that are back home, like at least 6 or 7 different George Brett signature/photo balls alone.

Thinking about all of the love I gave the Royals back in the day, it would be pretty cool if they take this.
I'm pretty pumped, I guess.

Preach brother.

It's like if Brad Lidge got Brad Lidge'd like 7 times in the same postseason. In fact it might be time to retire the term "getting lidge'd" and replace it with "getting Strickland'd"

I never felt that Strickland was the so-called closer of the future anyway. I still believe in Ray Black!

Eh, it's been okay. Too many blow outs to be a good WS. The games have been pretty boring all around.

Games 3, 4, and 5 were all good. 3 was the Royals holding on for dear life, 3-2. 4 had the Giants come back from 4-1 down, tying it in the 5th, and taking the lead in the 6th, so only the final innings were boring. 6 was a 2-0 game until the bottom of the 8th; by any measure that's a close game, it just didn't feel like it because of who was pitching.
