Monster Hunter Generations Demo June 30th + Early Access Codes today.

I have a code to give away, but I'd like to make it fun. Code goes to whoever guesses my favorite weapon type.

Edit: Just to clarify, it's an NA code.

I played the Long sword styles. I thought the styles would be much more different. Like almost using a different weapon different. They're basically the same as always with different specials. You'll just play them differently and not necessarily control them differently. It's more like Alpha ISMs or CVS grooves.

Of course you choose the best weapon. Greatsword.

Wow, I'm surprised the first try got it. I'm sending the PM now.

I've been watching some online weapon tutorials which go into weapon styles and hunter arts features in more detail while I'm away from my 3DS for a few hours. After considering it a bit more, I'll probably be using Guild or maybe Aerial style for my HBG needs. Striker offers more arts, but I don't think I'll use that many arts outside of the gunpowder and acceleration ones. And Adept offers momentary bonuses for hitting that evade window, but my style of hunting hardly ever involves evading through attacks - I usually just try to predict where the attack is going and put my hunter elsewhere instead. But Aerial and Adept's ability to quickly roll out of siege mode does look very promising.

I didn't get a Monster Hunter code, though I didn't get Tomodachi or Smash codes either so I'm not exactly holding my breath.

For whatever reason my e-mail isn't properly in Nintendo's system.

Was able to obtained a code, and oh man screw that owl with all that confusion lol. And feels like a combo or two with the charge blade got cut or such heh. I tried hunting horn aerial, and didn't feel for it at all, through I only really like HH in groups anyway.

Yeah, I think this is exactly why Adept style doesn't really work for me right now. When using Bow I roll away when necessary, but most of the time walking aside casually is what I do. It's gonna take some time to adjust, but maybe I'll just stick to Guild style.

I really enjoy LBG in the demo, thinking about maining LBG this time around, but zenny seems to be in short supply from what I've heard so I dunno...

Supposedly the game gives a ton of resource points to make up for giving out fewer zenny. It also has important combination materials available all the time. So combining shots in bulk should be a viable option, unlike in MH4U where things like Popfish weren't easily available.

And after looking over some of the common hunter arts, piling on 3 hunter arts in Striker style doesn't seem like such a bad idea. Some of these look really neat.

Yep, LBG striker is something I've been thinking about. I'd lose the sidehops which I barely used anyway, but being able to use arts more often and having 3 total sounds good to me.
