Monster Hunter: Whats the big deal

I can accept this conclusion. I did notice I worded everything extreme but I wasn't really trying to reel people to my side or anything, so I didn't care. Yes, I'm an ass.

I wouldn't say you're an ass, THAT would be rude. Yes, some stuff seemed a bit extreme, but on both sides. Have fun with your new MH game when it comes out.

Ah okay, thanks. But I really was an ass though, I usually don't post that bad so thanks for pointing it out.

If your opinion that camera control is part of the gameplay challenege (like making weapons, hunting prey, fighting the camera(?) ) then you are wrong. If you were right they'd stick "unique camera control" on the box as some kind of feature. It's not a feature, it's a fault. It's obviously a fault if a buttload of folks have problems with it and the problem comes to light almost anytime some folks talk about the game.

But Jeez, didn't know I was weak because I found the camera a pain in the ass. Must be a lot of weak people on this forum then.
I see it more as putting my view in the right angle in Counter Strike so I can see someone coming in from two directions. Then when I see the enemy I twitch my aim to the enemy (so the aim wasn't actually an aim at first but more like a tactical camera position). I think tactical camera positioning is part of the game.

Any mods available? I'm surprised someone hasn't devised a camera mod. With that RemoteJoy app and a dualshock, and maybe a magic trick or two, great things could happen.

Oh gawd, hard to control myself when I read that... *must resist...*

:lol I wasn't baiting you.

I don't have access to the PS2 games so I was just wondering if I could try the control layout on the PSP games to see if it makes any difference.

I never played the PS2 games either and I lost my PSP in Japan so the only MH I'm waiting for is the Wii version which does have camera control + movement, so that game will probably be really nice for everyone then :)

Yeah, sounds like it will. I got excited for the PC version, but didn't that sink into Japanese exclusivity and subscription nonsense? It was gonna be great, high resolution, custom control support, the works.

I pretty much gave up on the western release of the PC version. According to Wiki Korea has a closed beta running now and there's a Taiwanese website for Frontier. Maybe it will slowly get more releases? If it does end up in Europe I'll probably play it alongside the Wii version because they both have different engines. Frontier also contains all the latest 'old' monsters and weapons and the Wii version will be fresh.
