so a remake of oot makes you not interested in skyward sword? or is skyward sword the repackaged content game.

Kind of both. I'd get into more detail but one) I'd look like a Nintendo hater when I'm not and two) I'd derail the thread. I'm very happy that Skyward Sword looks like a great game, I hope it is. Unfortunately I've gotten rid of my Wiis over the years so I won't be able to play it. But now back onto the real topic..

DARK SOULS.

Demon's Souls is the game of the generation. I remember buying at launch and thinking these are the amazing kind of games that never get a sequel (Heavenly Sword being another). So happy the overseas reception pushed this game to the top because the reception here in the land of the rising sun was definitely not enough.

Between all the games I anticipate, the one I anticipate the most and have high hopes on is Super Mario 3DS.
I just expect this game to be the first Nintendo 3DS masterpiece.

I would say the 360 version of Witcher 2 lately (Only because I heard the game ends on a cliffhanger, potentially hinting at an expansion pack). But generally, Dark Souls is my most anticipated game.

actually getting a sequel, & getting it only 2.5 years later?! that demon's souls would, out of nowhere, end up being my favorite game this gen was bizarre enough. that it's become a franchise is just frigging surreal ...

I loved every second of my 200+ hours with Disgaea 3, and with the additions/improvements to D4, especially the updated sprite work, I'm expecting to like it even more.

Without having ever really enjoyed a Western RPG before (except...Secret of Evermore? lol), and despite Uncharted 2 being my GOTG so far, my choice is still Skyrim. Shit looks amazing.

I'm going to end up enjoying UC3 more though, and consider it the more well-rounded package in the end. It's more of a guaranteed good time to me too. But it can't be that unbelievably new and different compared to UC2, so I'm looking forward to experiencing Skyrim more. Does that make sense?

Hey I grew up with Zelda too, giant fan, Majora's Mask is one of my favorites of all time. But I just don't like how Nintendo has handled any of its franchises this generation, and after playing the outstanding Darksiders I'm much happier looking out for other versions of this genre. Rereleasing Ocarina on 3DS was the last draw for me, just sick of repackaging old content. As a former Wii owner x2, I just can't let Nintendo suck me again to play the same old game with a different skin. Not to mention it probably would've been the ONLY game I'd look forward to as a Wii owner for the past 2 years. Guess most of GAF doesn't feel as jaded as I do, haha.

SMG is way better than Sunshine, Other M sucked, and Prime 1 is the best game Nintendo has ever made, but at least they tried to do something different, that's admirable to me.

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 - DQM has always been my second favorite handheld franchise after Pokemon. I loved the first DQMJ DS game and put many many hours into it. I've been waiting for this to be localized since it came out in Japan a long time ago.
