My man. HIGH-FIVE!
I'm about 2 hours into Radiant Historia and it hasn't clicked with me. It just feels like a cookie cutter turn-based JRPG so far. Does it get better later?
Yoko Shimomura's OST is pretty ace though.
Great choice! For some reason, pulling out a cigarette and blowing up Nazi checkpoint felt so cool.
Yep. First Killzone is still the best one. It had switchable characters with different abilities, a lengthier campaign with a better story, more diverse locations, and better weapons. Outside of graphics the sequels were all a step back. I'm strictly talking about single player here.Killzone.
I'm going with Midtown Madness 3.
I had tons of fun playing "tag" with this game. I really didn't expect it to be so much fun but I put a lot of time into this game.
Not sure how much critical acclaimed it received, but I'd put this under an underrated category.

I'd say Bound by Flame. No, the voice acting isn't the best, but its a very charming B tier title. Played it over the course of a few days and had a blast.
Hardly anyone gave it a fair shot.

i like Nier, Spec Ops: The Line, and even Silent Hill: BoM as much as anyone can, but as far as the "most" underrated?

The gap between the review scores and how much it sold and the quality of the game, this I find to be the widest. Its just so damn good and I think it even has wide appeal, but not as many people played it as they should have.
It has one of the best FPS single player campaigns ever, its up there with the Metro games or Killzone 2. Its just so damn good.
Some of stuff I see here is far from underrated, at least on Gaf.
Meanwhile this game:

Terranigma is at least as good as Chrono Trigger, yet no one talks about it =X
If we can imagine a world where Terranigma was actually released in the United States, I think it still wouldn't get talked about as much as Chrono Trigger, but it is damn good and does deserve to be mentioned amongst the SNES's greatest.Terranigma is at least as good as Chrono Trigger, yet no one talks about it =X
this gen:
gorgeous, well-built, fun game. great dlc. & almost completely taken for granted...
Despite decent critical reception, Dragon Quarter's drastic departure from Breath of Fire series norms was not well-received by a huge portion of the fanbase. I still see it getting hell to this day for its changes, and I'll admit that I wasn't totally sold on them until I beat the game personally.
Still the best entry in the series. Masterful art direction, oppressive and compelling world, bleak story about corruption and struggle. The battle system alone makes the game worth playing. It's one of the most interesting takes on tactics in turn-based systems I've ever seen.
And now we have Breath of Fire VI on its way. Ugh...
Gameplaywise the game was a gift from the gods.
Storywise the game was complete shit. 15 chapters and the plot starts at the end of CH14 being the rest of the game pure Anime-like Filler.

I'm sure there are many more tough![]()
Loved Resistance 3. Had Halflife 2 vibes playing it. Too bad not enough people gave it a chance after the "bad" (i enjoyed it) Resistance 2.
