I must confess... I have never seen it.

Holy shit! ... You've got to be kidding?

Immediately run out to Blockbuster and rent it. You will thank me. Your loved ones will thank me. Your love life will improve ten fold. You'll be happier. Etc.

Damn. I knew I was missing something from my life all these years. And here I was, thinking that I was chronically depressed because of a chemical imbalance or something. Thank you, Lord Will! Thank you GAF!

Very nice. One of my favorite movies. I can't believe it gets little to no respect. I think it was Carrey's best role.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind boyee!

BTW, I'm very happy to see so many mentions of Happy Gilmore. I don't know what it's about this movie, but I just love it to death. I think it may be Shooter, he's awesome as the bad guy.

Spoiler from Untouchables regarding Sean.

Was I the only one that thought his character was stupid for fooling around with the person trying to assassinate him in his home, and then end up getting messed up real bad. I hated that part so much, simply because of my love towards Sean (In a non-gay way ;)).

Isnt this just another way of asking what your favourite movies are?

I wouldn't say so, since Forrest Gump and the other two LOTR flicks are among my favorite movies (moreso than most of the films on my list above), but they're not the sort of movies you can watch repeatedly and not tire of them.

Shawshank Redemption
Groundhog's day
Tremors

When ever any of these three are on the TV, I'm watching the whole thing.

Oops! Forgot about Happy Gilmore.

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned. It's so good it doesn't get boring no matter how many times you watch it in a row.

No one's mentioned Back to the Future ?
Word. Even though I own the DVDs, if I'm flipping through the channels and run across one... it's pretty hard for me to break away. A bit easier if it's Part III.

Also most Leslie Nielsen movies of the past quarter century. Since they're so gag-driven you can watch any given 15 minutes and have good fun.

Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Good Will Hunting, Lost in Translation, and Irreversible.

Dumb and Dumber

I swear to God, I've seen the movie at least 100 times, and anytime I see it on TBS, I still stop and watch it.

I need to see the Godfather movies.

Damn no Clerks? I never get sick of that movie, everytime I watch it I learn something new or understand something better, ever little segment is like watching it for the first time they're so classic.

My other favs:
New Jack City
Friday After Next (I actually did manage to get tired of the first sadly.)
Matrix Reloaded (The day I get sick of the "I'll handle them!" scene is the day I kill myself.
Toxic Avenger II

One mention of Ferris?

Where the fuck are the rest of John Hughes's movies??!!?!

Breakfast Club??! Home Alone??!!!? BEETHOVEN!?!! (Ok, I'm not serious about Home Alone and Beethoven... but the absence of Mr. Hughes is disturbing).

As a kid I could watch Lethal Weapon over and over and over.

(re BTTF) Now that movie does getting boring after repeated viewings. I can watch the first one and the second every now and then, but I couldn't imagine watching them every time and not getting bored.

That's true. It's a movie that's stands up the test of time and doesn't get boring when you watch it years later, but I agree that it's not a movie you can watch every month or something... I take that suggestion back and put forth THE ROCK . (Cue the Rock music)

The only movies I can watch over and over again are the slapstick comedy styled movies, any other type I find it hard to watch the whole thing after already watching it a few times before. Movies like CaddyShack, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Bulletproof, Celtic Pride, Big Lebowski, Spinal Tap and Fear of a Black Hat. Stuff like that.
