If someone is showing certain interest in a genre that is primarily focused on multiplayer, then there is no reason they shouldn't have another controller anyway.

this is not like the SFFII HDR demo, there are people who don't usually play fighting games who might be interested because of the Marvel license alone. and if they happen to only own one controller, then they're screwed.

Well lets see... for only PS3 exclusive controllers I have .... 7 controllers for my 2x PS3's and then if you count all the USB (PC) controllers that I can also use with my PS3's its more like 14, remember folks you can plug just about any USB PC controller into your PS3 and it will work, or just use a Playstation 2 to USB converter to give you access to your PS2 controllers.

I liked the demo, the filters work very nicely and the backgrounds look awesome. I hope we get a release date soon as I can't wait to take it online.

shame on everybody with just one controller at home. there are so many ways to plug in other controllers from your PC or PS2 into your PS3. you can find decent adaptors for a good price or just buy another controller, im sure it'll come in handy some day.

Hmm, on one hand, it's great this is finally coming out on XBLA/PSN. It's also great that Capcom is graciously giving us a taste with this demo. But on the not-so great side, making the demo so that it needs the player to have two controllers to even play it? Well, that's just dumb. :lol

Day one when it's released, but I'm bummed that I can't really enjoy the demo. Or more specifically, I have two controllers, but get bored beating on a lifeless opponent.

- Got SLOWDOWN when cancelling from one character's super into another. WTF?
+ 16:9 mode, yeah!
- The background isn't fully widescreen and you can see where it "ends" at the edge of the stages. Sloppy.
- The sound quality could be better. The voices sound muffled.
- Having the online multiplayer options highlighted like they're available is such a tease.

Without online play, this is pretty much a useless demo to me (I can just play the DC version if I want to play MvC2), but it's good to see that it looks nice upscaled.

Is Anti-Aliasing enabled in 1080p? I saw some 1080p screenshots on Capcom's blog and it didn't have them which is just wrong because even the Dreamcast had AA. The overlay sprites (text, timer) also looked a little blocky to me. Also, the propeller in the boat level on the far right is like 5 feet to the right of where it should be.

IMO Backbones menus suck. They are so sterile. I hated that they got rid of the intro of SSF2T and they did it here again, and also replaced the decent looking menu screen with something with no inspiration. Capcom should at least get them to update the background of the select screen, it looks brutal on my 720p HD TV, I can only imagine how bad it looks on a 1080p monitor.

The worst part is I just stared blankly at the menu screen for like three minutes trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Once I realized what was going on, I just sat there staring blankly at my second controller, sitting dust-covered next to the TV. I realized if I picked up that controller and hit start I would not be able to look myself in the mirror tomorrow.

As an adult, I would have to call a friend and have them drive over to play the goddamn demo...... of a game I downloaded off the internet, on a system in which everyone else who has the demo also has the ability to play for free.... online.
