George was the dishonest one about his income, Anfisa was upfront from the start about what she wanted. If you watch the show its pretty clear - atleast IMHO - that Anfisa was the mild one. Her frutrastions were mostly at Georges stretching of the life he could provide.

Ya she was upfront that she was a gold digger and he tried to fake it till he made it. Worst part is he knew he was a simp but kept trying to blame her for only being in it for the money. She was up front about that shit from day 1.
