N Korea 'ready' to attack US bases.

If you're still drawing your attack plans on paper in 2013, you probably should at least invest in a pc or something first...

is it me or does he look like the chubby asian kid in school who didnt have many friends but would buy you things if you hung out with him?

Bluffing; as the article points out, this is aimed more at the NK population than us. They can't do anything about the sanctions and are acting out; soon Kim will be forced to the table, but he needs to show the military command that he didn't go willingly.

I'm more concerned about one idiot soldier on either side starting to shoot, and escalating a large confrontation.

For their sakes I sincerely hope they do not believe their own propaganda.

As cruel as it sounds I would like for the US to actually provoke or force NK into actually attacking just so they can have an airtight excuse to scorch that entire region into ash.
Yeah! It'd be so fun to see the starving inhabitants of North Korea turned into ash!

Oh god another genocide promoter. You people need some serious help.

"Fuck the Americans! We will bomb them into bloody pieces!"

"Brilliant strategy as always, Great Leader."

"And the Mexicans! Fuck the Mexicans too!"

"A cunning move, Great Leader. We can strike Canada, too..."

"Canada? Who would want to kill Canadians? They're all so friendly."

I think Great Leader is his grandfather's title.

We'll need to contact his former classmates. I wonder if he ever picked up chicks by saying, "In the future, people will call me Great Leader."

For their sakes I sincerely hope they do not believe their own propaganda.

I imagine most of the people are too hungry to care and basically smile/nod and do whatever their government says so they don't end up getting shot.

The main issue is if the military has become so deluded to think they can actually do even remotely some of what they preach.

If they're ready to attack our bases and attack the US mainland, go for it. They don't have enough fuel, parts, money to do anything.

They have enough artillery to hurt some people in Korea and potentially hurt some soldiers at bases there. I guess we'll see if they're suicidal enough to do that. They know that if they start something, the leadership will be toppled quickly and South Korea will try them for war crimes. They don't want a real fight.

I feel like the NKoreans dont understand that technology has advanced to a stage where we can understand and not even worry about their empty threats. Maybe before the internet our populace might fear an attack but now we can watch everything that we know about that nation, and understand that they are not a threat in the slightest and that their only ally has forsaken them.

They are overplaying their poker hand and its showing.

None of those fake lines on the fake map are ending up in Utah. I rest easy tonight.

Part of me would find it slightly amusing to see the reaction of Americans if NK suddenly unveiled a huge nuke missile that they have had hidden.

It would certainly be an aesop-esque lesson learned.

NK photos are always suspiciously sparse in terms of people.

Jong-Un "surrounded by his generals in his war room" = four people watching him read?

It is. Just look at his cap. They matched up a clear map with the lines in the original image to show where they "hit."

Not just that. The guy is basically a ghost in that last pic.

They obviously cut him out and tried to align him "correctly" on that last pic by making his layer transparent. But somehow forgot to set it back to 100% before releasing the image to the world... oh boy

We need to get Kim a gaf account. He'll end up spending all his time on here and forget about missiles.

You're right. The first time there is a Caturday thread running simultaneously with a tipping thread, he'll forget all about his missiles. :)

I still don't think anything is going to come of this...they cannot be that stupid.

Someone on my Facebook feed posted a picture of themseves with a gun pointed at the sky with the caption "C'mere South Korea! No one threatens AMERICA!". I am so embarrassed right now...

I'm fascinated by Kim Jong-Un. I can't help but wonder about how he really feels about things. I get the sense he just wants to chill out and do cool relaxing things like hang out with his favourite celebrities, and the structures and people around him have pushed him into this role he has no real idea about. He's only about 28.
