N3 Rondo

Latest issue of taiwanese Famitsu (or is it chinese) has something called
Ninety Nine Nights Rondo
on it's 360 release list for November, doesn't sound like proper sequel though, maybe expansion of some sorts
Also having KUF:COD slated for 10/12, asian dates I guess.

I'd like a N3 with the most obvious issues fixed. Just add at least one save point per level and make sure the items never go on the other of an invisible wall and we'll talk.

"You are already dead."

Either have Q make the whole thing, or just give the property to someone else.

Then again, the game world wasn't that interesting anyway. No reason to protect this property.

The chinese next to it seems to insinuate it is a direct sequel though... 九十九夜2

which is worse, having played through N3 multiple times or having played through bulletwitch multiple times?

At least in Bullet Witch, you can dress the main character up in a sexy secretary costume with a miniskirt and heels. Keeps me sane (actually I'm playing it right now on CHAOS difficulty as I post this...)

Maybe something good will come of this, but I didn't even finish the demo for the first game,.

The demo was the most boring mission for the most boring characters.

When you finish Inphyy and Aspharr, the game gets a LOT better.

I liked it too, even if i understand the complaints. Most of the problems could have been fixed if it wasnt a rushed title (and i dont know why they didnt care about it when doing the US/PAL version).

I also agree that it gets better after the first characters story is finished and once you get all of them to high levels you can use some pretty good combos and its just fun to wipe out hundreds of minions.

I think the game has potential and could be much better just fixing the problems in the first one, making all characters more distinctive in terms of gameplay (like the young witch), tweaking the enemy AI and adding some coop.

I liked the first game as well, but I don't understand the complaints. Mostly because, generally, there really aren't any. Just people hopping into N3 threads saying "lolz the demo suxed" and nothing else. I really don't see what made N3 sooo much worse than any Musou title, for example.

EXACTLY!!! I still play this game from time to time. I keep asking myself how the HELL could this game be released in the west with some of it's glaring issues. I'm a sucker for these types of games and I loved it. Great game to pick up cheap.

N3 Rondo + Checkpoints + good voice acting + Multiplayer ( army x vs army y ) = SUCCESS!
Now that's what I'm talking about!! BUt where's my true next-gen sequel to the Kingdom Under Fire series (i.e. not Circle of Doom..which should be lots of fun though). I still want those game backwards compatible on the X360. I love huge epic battles with huge armies.

<Dremas of next-gen Dragon Force done right>. :lol

But enemies aren't magical invincible at certain times in BW and there are actual checkpoints.

Only trouble i had with N3 was Inphyy, other characters were far stronger.

Hack and slash is good for reliving some stress.

Been playing N3 lately and it's stupidly flawed. Still, the sensation of cutting through an unbelievably massive amount of onscreen soldiers is highly evocative. Shame those moments don't occur enough.

why is there, besides UT3, also Naruto for 360 for japan? this cant be the ubisoft one, right? cause the naruto license is also contintent based

edit: ah, oke, thx

This isn't the Japanese Famitsu.

There are fair and understandable complaints like bad colision detection, poor/lazy IA, invisible walls in the sides of levels that prevent you from reaching objects.

I don't agree with others like thinking the shamans were cheap or that the characters were just the same or describing it as just button-masher. Even if it doesnt have a lot of dept in the combat system it is as much BMasher as you want it to be at least in the first stages (which is maybe why a lot of people was dissapointed with the demo). Later on you do need to think more strategically about your attacks and combos.

And the lack of save points makes the game more difficult, yes, but well, its like in Dead Rising, and i think it becomes part of its appeal.

I kind of enjoyed the game, but it really does have issues...

Collision detection is balls out terrible. Everything clips through everything else in the most akward fashion. Basically, it never really feels as if you are connecting with anything. You swipe your weapon and it travels through objects and enemies with eventual destruction occuring.

The AI is also piss poor. This isn't a huge issue with large battles as if really doesn't matter what they are doing at that point, but when they throw you up against a boss, it really makes the game feel broken. The bosses are horribly glitchy feeling and the poor collision detection only serves to increase this feeling.

Those are pretty significant, I think, and really do drag the game down. Other issues I have with it are the poor framerate, generally bad animation, and the unpolished feel.

Despite those issues, I still found some enjoyment (I really can't explain why)...
