These dev responses remind me of the ones about BG3. A lot of these people just need to stop saying anything at all, especially on a public platform.
Sarcasm is dead on the internet, cause y'all are too stupid to see/read it.
I thought only redditors in r/Palworld are the idiots, and then you post it on GAF and the replies are the same too.
Wait, what? He was being genuine with the way he said it? That was line-by-line sarcasm, because the only other explanation is that the person who wrote it is stupid and lacks self-awareness, and the way it's written could only have been sarcasm, unless he's really, really that stupid.
Speaking of stupid...
GAF awaits your apology.
Yes, I apologies to everyone I called stupid, I was the one being stupid.
I would have personally spoken those exact words that person wrote in a sarcastic manner, I didn't imagine anyone could be that stupid to write it genuinely.
but palworld gained so much traction because pokémon, otherwise those sales would have been impossible.
If naughty dog creates a cheap mp game we don't know if it will be succesful.

Edit: Nvm.
It combines the turbo autism of survival crafting games with the mega turbo autism of Pokemon games. Palworld is autism incarnate.Too many breakaway hits in the survival genre for there not to be something there.
Compare Temtem with Palworld. That Pokemon influence only gets you so far.
To be fair, when someone says something too stupid or absurd it's not that far fetched to assume it's sarcasm. To answer your question anyway, because I'm equally baffled that he actually meant what he said, if I personally wrote down the statement "My gut is telling me Palworld was made nefariously." it would be to mock those currently-unfounded-claims of stealing assets or using AI. Or I would say "Making a game is so difficult, they're cheating somehow" to mock those who are calling the game an asset-flip or a soulless cash grab.
And I really thought it was good sarcasm too...
In fact, I’ve been told over and over again by making-of videos that game development is cheating. How exactly does a game dev "cheat"?
By making a game fun.How exactly does a game dev "cheat"?
And not having your work thrown in the trash.By making a game fun.
Naughty Dog is creatively bankrupt and is in rehash/remaster mode. People enjoy the Palworld gameplay loop. I don't know anyone who enjoyed a ND game for the gameplay. It's largely forgettable filler to get to the story.
Years ago there was an article at Kotaku, I think it was related to an outsourced dev working on DNF. He had an interview with 3DR related to making some meshes for guns. It went something like this:I love the fact that Naughty Dog employees know they spend 200+ million on their games and Palworld is running circles around them.
They're nervous, jealous, and salty.
Also for all the copies sold at retail the dev probably takes 10-15%, Palworld takes 70%.TLOU2 sold 4 mil the weekend it released. Palworld sold 5 mil. TLOU2 sold for $60 and Palworld for $27.
One game had a budget of 200M+ and a huge marketing push, and one had a 7M budget and no marketing at all.
What do you think was a more profitable venture?
you used the word legendary in the correct wayHe is probably mad there aren't any Trans pokem- I mean Pals.

Classic NeoGaf though, using something one guy tweeted to shit on a whole studio. A Legendary Studio even.
they make it kinda easy to, just like Game FreakHow did one person’s opinion turn into another shit on Naughty Dog thread?
Because ND employees keep tweeting with their employer in their bio.How did one person’s opinion turn into another shit on Naughty Dog thread?
Amid this success, the game has sparked debates about plagiarism and the use of AI-generated content, with a developer from Naughty Dog claiming that Palworld was created nefariously.
- Palworld’s ability to break so many records has made it the subject of controversy.
- Many believe the game’s foundations have been built on plagiarism.
- A developer from Naughty Dog also chimed in, claiming that the developers are cheating.

Someone's salty over Factions being canceled.
On the plus side, it's often skewed to tech workers who seem to enjoy telling the world their personal life issues or how bad their boss is at work. If you google it, Nestle has about 275,000 workers in the world. And so does the US video game employee count at 268,000. I dont know accurate that is, but I'm just going by a google search results.Giving these game devs a platform to complain about everything and anything was one of social medias biggest flaws.
The criticism is that they used AI with Pokemon data as the base. Like basically fed the AI system a Pikachu, then gave it a few commands to change it slightly. Which if they did, if they have enough Pals, even with the variances it should be obvious it’s just plagiarized Pokemon.and so WHAT if they use AI ?
If Nintendo doesn’t find a way to sue, their other entities will be ripped off. Personally speaking, ai generated content that used other artist work as a base for training the model is straight plagiarism. The criticism is that they used AI with Pokemon data as the base. Nintendo is gonna have to do it’s homework, or we are about to see a bunch of Nintendo clones.
Where the code is different, the gameplay is different, art is different, but you can tell it all originated from a particular studios content.
