Naughty Dog further teases space game?

I reaaaaalllllly hope this is true. Uncharted has too many problems, Bend can deal with it.

But at the same time, I remember Amy mocking space marines in 2006 or so

I'm not gonna raise my hopes too high because a sci fi game set in space is like the ultimate thing I'd like to see from Naughty Dog at this point. They already nearly perfected their approach to the Indiana Jones style game and completely caught us off guard with the best zombie apocalypse set in America to date (suck it, TWD). Ascending to the heavens with sci fi would be asking for too much.

Please be in space and super sci fi!
Could ND be a three game studio now? MEGASTUDIO
What should have happened to Retro when Nintendo was drowning in Wii money. :(
Uncharted.... egypt..... stargates... :O
*blinks*

This connection is genius.

The mistake your making here is thinking ND is going to make a dudebro space marine shooter

Since ND has gone into more cinematic games, I was trying to reach back to a sillier game and treat it like it's indicative of the story they'd put in a Firefly-like game.

"Uncharted in Space" is pretty much exactly what a Firefly game would be. The roguish sense of adventure. The sarcastic humor in face of dark and high stakes situations. I know you were joking but the two actually share quite a few themes. No Bandicoot necessary. Hahahaha

C'mon man, here I was thinking it would be a new Jak & Daxter game.

Edit: Assuming that's all true of course.

That's called Routine and it's being made by an indie developer.

Anyway, if they're working on a space game then i'd be surprised if it wasn't inspired by Firefly on some level. Amy expressed her love for that series several years ago when she talked about how she's pick Nathan Fillion to play Drake if she were the one making the choice.

Oh god, please let it be something as awesome as firefly.

If it's space, i hope it is some kind of action rpg'ish with an 80's action movie feel to it.
But seriously , whatever, just give it to me ND.

Yeah, but I'm saying it probably wouldn't be as goofy as Crash Bandicoot.

Isn't GG and SSM also rumoured to be making Sci Fi games?

Once one of them scratch the Mass Effect itch Ill be down. Very little faith in bioware to scratch it.

They are being WAYYYY too obvious about the Starlight Savage to the point where I think they are going to show something completely differnt

Yep. Also I think the Space X tour might have been something you'd do early in the project. The Uncharted 3 team has been working on something for at least 2 years now.

I definitely don't think that what they're working on has anything to do with Savage Starlight. They've said that it was just a collectible that their melee designer cooked up during development. I think that they could just be playing along with the space theme to get people off the scent of what they're really working on.

Over the past year there have been several potential clues about what they're working on. I believe it was in one of the behind the scenes video for TLoU where someone originally spotted that pirate-themed artwork. Recently we had Dominic Monaghan mentioning that he's excited for the new Uncharted and then he popped up at Naughty Dog's offices not too long after that. And now we have all these space hints.

Really looking forward to seeing what they do on the PS4.

It will be a breath of fresh air compared to Microsoft's sorry 360 output that I had to put up with this generation.

Whatever it is.... please let it be a 3D Platformer.

Insomniac's games have completely lost all their platforming elements this generation, Rayman has gone 2D, Knack from all we've been shown has 0 platforming and only combat, and RAD studio's have now went head first into 3rd person shooter territory. We've lost them all. All that's left is Nintendo.

Common ND please make a jaded 3D platformer fan happy. I will never forget the platforming sections in Jak 3. Perfection.

I think there's a high chance Uncharted 4 is Uncharted in space. They'll alternate timeline-ify or dimension-ify the series.

But it still might have to do with space. Obviously the U3 team is not visiting SpaceX this far into development.

What if ND was using a smaller team to make a next-gen version of Rogue Squadron set in their own made up fictional universe?

Space-fighter ala Ace Combat? Except you can freely enter and exit the atmosphere of various planets?

You sound like somebody that hasn't played Sly 4
