Naughty Dog further teases space game?

It wouldn't take much to put this .gif into context... just throwing that out there...

Honestly, a first person
oculus rift
survival space game is absolutely essential within the next two years. Gravity's visuals and the storytelling were inspiring. And all I could thinking about during the 90 minutes was "Damn, how will this work without QTE and button smashing, it must work without".
Naughty Dog is not very well known for their first person games, but I think even a "third person-space setting-ND gameplay" game would be awesome on PS4.

am i right in thinking ND has produced games in the sidscrolling platformer, 3d platformer, action adventure, karting and 3rd person survival horror/ action genres? they amaze me

please make it retro cyberpunk a la bladerunner

Isn't Guerrilla rumored to be working on a futuristic WRPG? Or did I just completely make that up? Anyways if that's true and if the ND in space rumor is true as well I wonder how different they'll be.

Whatever it is.... please let it be a 3D Platformer.

Insomniac's games have completely lost all their platforming elements this generation, Rayman has gone 2D, Knack from all we've been shown has 0 platforming and only combat, and RAD studio's have now went head first into 3rd person shooter territory. We've lost them all. All that's left is Nintendo.

Common ND please make a jaded 3D platformer fan happy. I will never forget the platforming sections in Jak 3. Perfection.

Have you played Puppeteer? It's a good platformer ignored by everyone else because it came out at the same time as the big games.

Has there been any indication whatsoever of a TLOU sequel?

i suppose they could switch off between 3 games between two teams? have one game in the middle of each phase -- pre-production, production, and whatever else and they would prevent having to have a "seasonal" lay off that some studios always seem to have to do after they ship a game.

who's working on this game, the A team (Uncharted 2, The Last of Us) or the B team (Uncharted 3)?

Calling them the B-team despite it being factual, seems dirty to me. They're still better than pretty much every other team in the industry.

But yes them, I bet.

I bet we will see the next Uncharted at VGA's. I think this is the main reason why they put out all UC3 mp maps for free just recently. Then the TLOU team will next work on their sci fi game

Hype for both. I need my UC fix

The whole time I was watching Gravity, all I could think was, "wow this is the bar that video games movies set in space have to meet as far as aesthetic and feel." A "Dead Space" movie in a similar style would be fantastic. I realize 90% of "Dead Space" is set on-board a space station. But the way they handled that feeling of isolation in that short time was exactly how I would imagine it could be done with DS. I mean it had
hallucinations and everything.

I was hoping they'd do something with the cthulu mythos...have the game starting in the 30's with some explorers discovering the ruins in Antarctica(mountains of madness) as a prologue and then fast forward to hundreds of years later when humanity has the ability to traverse space and discovering more ruins and monstrocities:-)
Or..some kind of spartacus in space...imagine the first warp drive ship being pirated and the main char being enslaved on an alien planet..could be awesome in ND hands!

I'm not a huge fan of Lovecraftian fiction or the general aesthetic, but you know, if anyone could pull it off, it'd be Naughty Dog.

The thought of ND doing an Elite-esque, free-roaming space adventure makes me a little bit giddy. Well, a lot giddy actually.

I hope they move away from Uncharted, I have no idea how would they top Uncharted 2 unless they dramatically change the formula of the series. But let's face it, Uncharted is flagship Sony franchise now and it will sell some PS4s.

Although i'd love to see a next gen Uncharted, i much rather would like them to start next gen with something different.
No Crash though please. Those games and the character suck ass imo.

I'd be pretty bummed if it was a Firefly game. I'm not a huge fan of Firefly, but even regardless of that, I feel like Naughty Dog are so damn good at character building and narrative, I want them to use their own material.

Why would they waste their time on that trash?

IMHO : Drake's next adventure will not come from ND, they will only supervised the development. The ND's studios are working on a space game and a sequel of TLOU.

Either this is all an elaborate troll, or some other developer is making Uncharted 4 and I'm going to cry in my cereal as a result.

'Cos, y'know, Nathan Drake isn't going to space. He's not Tintin.

Yeah, I think we can all agree Drake in space would be terrible.

So this seems to be the space-game teased by Gopher, Gapher...? Forgot his name :(

Clearly BioWare gave the Mass Effect license to ND, because they gave up and now it's PS4 exclusive (this will be the shocking reveal). This is so confirmed.

Let me dream. Please!

Eh, that was made by the founders of ND. Neither of them at the company anymore and I feel that the ND of now is so much better because of their absence. I wasn't actually fond of ND's output until Uncharted.

The amazing thing about Way of the Warrior is that it's the most important game that ND ever released and the game responsible for saving the studio.
