New BF:Bad Company 2 trailer/screens

Wow, nice little coup for Sony and PS3. At least there's a multiplayer demo coming for everyone later.
 
Amazon sent me an email saying the game is coming January 29th now, but the PS Blog post is still talking like it is March 2010.:( I don't want to wait that long.
 
A PS3 exclusive beta? Holy shit have the winds shifted.:lol

Cannot wait, I'll try to fill everyone in once Gamestop gets the pre-order beta access codes.
 
guys, if you have a PS3, preorder the PS3 version, get the beta code, then switch!

plus, you can always get a refund on your preorder and then buy it somewhere else anyway.

I still get the patches/wildcards to complete along with 10K kills to get my Bad Company 1000gs/Platinum on the PS3 version.

Sniper is like the only class to annoy the shit out of me in BC1 because of the way you can't figure out where the fuck they're firing from now and then. But that instance was hilarious as 3+ snipers were all bunched together up on the hill.
 
i thought they said they were doing a 360 beta like months ago? Oh well, will pre-order ps3 and 360 version for beta then cancel teh ps3 version!

seriously, the sweet satisfaction of finding a well hidden sniper and exacting cold hearted revenge is second only to making sweet love to a beautiful woman that you love!

hell, a couple of weeks ago, i got several PSN messages from a guy who was upset that i was sniping him in his spawn, to which i did not respond.

when he finally killed me, he sent this amazingly rage/joy filled message that i may keep forever.
 
so gamestop sent me an email with a beta code...but the code doesn't work. will it not work until the 19th?

Well, I noticed some parts where it shows the PS3 D-Pad and the R1 and L1 buttons, so I don't know. Maybe they're showing both versions.

Or someone could be playing the the 360 PC controller.. It shouldn't really even matter though. It's still one really sick video. :D

It looks like blended footage from both versions. It blends lots of clips together in that video.

DICE said there is no controller support whatsoever. Why do they keep taunting us with 360 vids, but no video? Ugh.

Yeah, fucking bullshit. The only thing for 360 this holiday is MW2, and that's multiplat. Why would MS not want this beta? Because they wouldn't pay up? I don't get it.
 
really smart move by dice giving us a pc beta, i'd be willing to bet that without this furore surrounding the state of pc modern warfare 2 that we wouldn't of gotten one. makes sense to try and cash in, especially as the pc battlefield 2 is by far the highest selling version of the franchise with over 15 million accounts created for it

i for one am really looking forward to it

That we know of so far. Ms could have something else up their sleeves. Or maybe MW2 deal with the early map packs had something to do with it. There could be many things at play that we don't know about.

A beta for the 360 at this time would be over looked due to Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 coming out around the same time and being promoted heavily not just by their publishers, but also Microsoft.

Or maybe they're just super confident in their net code for the 360? :lol
 
Sniping in BC is so sick. There are some sims out there that are more realistic, but nothing is so visceral. It's also much more rewarding than most other games because you have to lead your targets. External ballistics aren't perfect (EX: they don't simulate the effect of gravity on the projectiles) but at least it's not like most games where you fire at the point an object is and never account for movement of a targets at distance...

Dropping a guy hauling ass across a field with one shot makes me feel like a fucking quarterback hitting a deep out. Amazing feeling. BC M24 is my favorite weapon in any game ever.

I saw the gameplay on GT.com and coming from a person who never played Bad Company (or bother with Military Shooters), that looked really cool. Looked really clean, crisp with shit blowing up everywhere.

Oh, and the fugly super low resolution shadows are still present in those new bullshots, they better give us some better shadow quality settings on PC, or they'll totally ruin the visuals for me.
