New IP you really liked, but Dev died or whatever forcing no sequel

Massive Entertainment is still alive and all, but they have died in spirit and now are forced forever to make boring multiplayer components or whatever for every other game that isnt theirs.

Great little action game here with plenty of character, fun vechile sections, and some of the more enjoyable "Take over a bad guy!" mechanics, going inside their body and communicating with the other bad guys.

Didn't sell very well, there were bought by Blizzard in '05. Last I heard they were working on Starcraft: Ghost...

:/

edit: KRYPTO I LOVE YOU

Oh, yeah, this is a good one. It's sad because I loved this action RTS genre and felt that the way it handled multiplayer with team synergy and an easy 'buyback' was awesome but that there was still room for improvement.

This would be my second choice if I was able to magic a sequel into existance, just behind Nexus.

Okay so it's not "new" but it was a resuscitated IP with a remake of the original being handled by the same guys doing this one. The remake was really good. The sequel was not as smooth but I loved it and I easily thought a lot of the original ideas could have become a much better game if they got the chance to do an improved sequel, which the ending teased at.

Then the game bombed and the devs got shut down.

At least Spencer appeared in MvC3, and kicked major ass in it.

This.

So bummed we didnt get another one, loved this game so much.

My first real mmo experience. So many hours. text chatting and I could make my Elf Bard sing songs with just the dualshock 2 controller. Really well designed command layout. Not to mention this mmo ran off of the dvd disc, no install required.

I'd like to see another attempt at console Everquest, maybe EQNext on the ps4. EQOA did some stuff very well, such as the zoneless world design, and ease of play, but the terrible graphics, lack of local storage options, and massive culling and limitations to items really turned folks off. It was also too simplified from PC everquest, which made it somewhat insulting to EQ vets.

Still managed to make a 58 Barb rogue, and 55 human Magician. Fun times.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. One of my favourite games ever, would love another in that universe. RIP Troika =[

Red Dead qualifies for this thread. Before the game shipped the entire team was liquidated and the tech boxed up and mothballed. Damn shame.

why are people mentioning stuff like crackdown and the suffering?

you may have not liked the sequel but it happened

goes against what this topic is here for
