New Pinball Arcade Kickstarter - Terminator 2: Judgment Day [Complete, $62K funded]

Is there any strategy to getting new tables that makes more sense than starting at the highest-ranked table on IPDB and going down? (Perhaps skipping tables with hard-to-get licenses.)

People seem to be lowering their pledges now. Around $300 has been deducted today.

Expected. No stretch goals, everyone who was at $300 upgraded to $400 and there are no outstanding perks to gain past the goal. I'd be surprised if they net more than $1500 from here on out.

Well lookie that. They just put up an update:
While we've hit our T2 goal, thanks to the overwhelming support of the pinball community, there's still time for those of you who have not pledged to get in on some great rewards while at the same time, help us to begin funding our future Kickstarter project, which we're hopeful will be The Addams Family. We are aggressively working to secure all the licenses needed to bring this widely popular table to The Pinball Arcade and with your continued support, we're optimistic that we will be able to add this holy grail of pinball to The Pinball Arcade in the near future!

Yep, the guys who reduced their pledges must feel a little bit guilty now.

I knocked mine back down to my original pledge. I was never really interested the extras of the higher tier I supported, but wanted to give as much as I reasonably could to get it to reach its goal.

Farsight isn't a charity, so as long as I did my part to help fund it as a customer, there are no guilty feelings at all. Yes, I know the extra $$$ goes toward The Addams Family (my all-time favorite table), but I'll simply support that KS fundraiser when it is announced.

That VP guy in the comments section is unbearable... he's everything wrong with the internet and gamers. I don't understand people. Really.

It appears the comments aren't there anymore so I haven't caught them, but looking at everyone's responses... sounds like a trolling douchebag idiot.

On the other hand, this (random?) comment makes total sense but is fascinating nonetheless:
I am a former Williams R&D E.E. (Electrical Engineer.)

There is no problem, these machines were made to be repaired to that level of dis-assembly and retain the integrity of physics. There are compete service manuals to guide them in this. The only danger would be to break a "plastic" part, but care is taken to avoid this.
It's good that there are people who were in the industry are aware of TPA. Gives a bit more credibility to the whole thing.

I cancelled my $10 pledge. I'm always down for giving $10 if TPA needs it. Right now, they don't need it. Plus, I've never actually played anything beyond the demo for TPA, and I've never played T2. I have no attachment to the table. I look forward to the Steam release and backing the Addams Family Kickstarter if/when there is one.

I would pay at least $20 for a version of Whirlwind that interfaced with an external fan on the computer. Playing the real Whirlwind table is incredible because of that gimmick.

Is there room in the world for a Pinball OT? It could cover real pinball, Pinball FX, and of course, The Pinball Arcade.

I can't tell what mode the machine is in, but do we know if that is only set to run when it's triggered in the game, or on all the time?

Still, that's a fucking amazing tweak. It'd be like White Water throwing a bucket on your face every time you roll the ball down the rapids.

Edit: Looks like it's on/off under control of the game, hadn't actually seen the whole video! Very well done.
