Litten's evo is slowly becoming my favorite of the lot. The concept art just shows so much personality. I plan to use all three, though.

I just want to know its name and type. I'm fine if it's Fire/Fighting or Fire/Dark. I just want to know which it is, and what to call it.

They really need to make Gumshoos fur green instead of yellow. I'm sick of the Trump comparisons. I don't want politics that affect me in my life in my Pokemon. I don't even want to be reminded of it. Pokemon is a time to explore and meet cool and pretty creatures. I have enough Trump shit in my life to not be reminded of that shit burglar when playing Pokemon or talking about Pokenmon. Also I've never even seen an English cap like that which is yellow. It's usually more Earthy, like a green or a brown.

Make his fur green for the love of God, Nintendo.

Like maybe a Flying-type team with the four forms of Oricorio, plus Minior and Rowlet-3... with Alolan Exeggutor as a substitute, the idea being he's the tree the birds call home.

Hoping this next info batch reveals Komala's evo. Dying to see it. I'm guessing it's gonna play a similar role to the Slakoth family, being the stronger earlier mammal compared to Yungoose, found in the first forest. I'm reckoning it'll have at least 1 evo, but becoming a 3 stager would be great too. I'll say its strange we've sighted Slaking motels in the concept art and maps, you'd think they'd want to advertise Komala as much as possible. He got robbed again!

We're at around 40 new Pokemon revealed so far, give or take a potential evolution, and including the variants. It's exciting that we may not be even half way through! I'm just hyped to see the fossils. Tyrunt and Amaura were revealed in September so we might have a while more to wait, but it's not like they have to stick to those reveal dates. As I said in the 721 Pokemon and Counting thread, it's gonna be hard to top the Kalos fossils. Not only are they the best designed fossils, they're some of the best designed Mons period. A Parasaurolophos or Ankylosaurus have a chance to rival them, and by the way this gen's dex is shaping up, I'm sure whatever we'll get will be well designed.

Fire/Dark can work, especially with plenty of physical dark moves fitting for a wrestler

I was thinking of going with Litten since I'm definitely using Alola Exeggutor, but my brother is picking him (he also loves the Tiger Mask evo), so I guess I'm sticking with Rowlet in the end. Two grass types ain't bad, especially if one of them is an archer owl.

Out of the Gen 1 Starters Charizard is the only that can possibly fit that description.

I wanna say you're right about Sceptile but it's often depicted as ninja-like.

- Charizard
- Sceptile
- Torterra
- Infernape
- Greninja

He also has Bayleef, Quilava and Pignite, but those are middle forms.

The only other fully evolved starter to be part of the main cast was May's Blaziken

I actually only watched OS and XY, and snippets only of the rest but I keep knowledge. The only time he didn't evolve most starters are the ones where he has more than one, and even then you got DP breaking that.

Design wise im the opposite, i like rowlets and littens, i think popplio's is complete trash. I guess i just really liked the idea of it becoming a clown.

The totem pokemon/trial/kahuna thing seems like a neat mixup though. The kahunas still seem to be a fight, the totem pokemon bring in some neat twists, and the trials look to be varied.

Its a good compromise, all around.

Just the guess via Bulbapedia. The Japanese one is easier to parse; there might be some Hawaiian words influencing its English name, though.

Name origin

Oricorio may be a combination of oriole and choreography.

Odoridori may be a combination of 踊り odori (dance), 鳥 tori (bird), and 色とりどり irotoridori (varicolored).

The color of the types are off and so is the font. I also don't think we'd ever see Wild Vaporeons in any mainline game. Oh well, they're pretty neat designs.

man...im really unable to choose a starter. i was team litten, but im disappointed in another bipedal fighter, then again hes growing on me and actually looks really cool, then again rowlet3 looks crazyyy cool. popplio is amazing too but im ok having that later on or on another play through
