I think it's fair to say that we can make an rumor of an new RE up to every major conference, at some point someone will be right and validated as an source.

But saying that an new RE game is coming is not really an exclusive, rumor, leak or anything. Of course there will be an new game in Capcoms best selling franchise.

This, and it makes it even harder for actual insiders to be thrusted overall, because we all expect them to just be really good at guessing, reading financial statements and checking Linkedin rather then actual insiders.

Except his misses seem to be pretty big the point where Sony are either making fun of him (yosp), or effectively telling him to stfu (ND). His record with MS and their OS launch woes were BS too.

Perhaps REmake 2015 is a thing perhaps it isn't but theres far too much of a history with him

It could very well be true that Capuchin is developing a new RE that's not 7, one described as a reboot/rebirth/remake, and foolishly likened to GC's REmake... But then reality sets and it's another DmC deal, and people rage and thuway be like "well, ignoring the tweets referencing REmake, I didn't promise it'll be as good as REmake" but people still rage, and attack him, and he cries on twitter about the bullying and abuse, but still never learns.

good news guys, i have insider info that thuway is not a trustworthy source.

And also, why would they do a REmake considering it sold less than RE4, and RE5 and RE6 were the best sellers? A lot of the designers for the series, including mikami, already have left the company. I don't even know why getting your hopes up when i haven't seen anything that makes capcom interested in making a resident evil in the classic sense. or even remaking one.

4 has released on pretty much every system up to this generation. And as its not very oudated a remake is kinda pointless.

If its anything other than RE1 its RE2 imo.

Not sure enhanced port would do it though--unless they have the original 3D renders, the backgrounds will still be SD. Much as I love me some 2D art, it's a lot harder to "remaster" unless the originals were higher res than the first release and you actually kept the originals. Square. *glare*

There was a great post in a thread last year that linked a few of his leaks to old articles on Eurogamer. He takes obvious rumors from months past that made perfect sense then as now and he regurgitates them.

He is not an insider. He is not special. Most of us (if not all of us) could perfectly mimic his routine.

If it's a remake, wouldn't it be different than the original? How different was the original Resident Evil compared to REmake? And for current gen if it was different they could throw a port of the original one too.

The problem is, when he was posting his rumors mostly on GAF, they usually had more than one source and he was pretty cautious what to post.

On twitter, it seems like he spills everything he hears, without another source or waiting for a proper conformation.
That makes it incredible hard to select those rumors that might be true.
So with alot of misses lately, people don't wanna get fooled anymore...
