Imagine an open world RE game set within the mansion and you can travel on foot down to Racoon city to then play Resident Evil 2....all in one seamless world.

If they reboot it, I don't want a retread of the same old stuff.
Make it new.. Base it on all the things the original does right, but don't just go through the script of the old games. I'm saying, make all new characters. No more Wesker, no more whoever.. The old games are great.. REmake is amazing.. but do we really want REmake again? Get fresh.

Why would Capcom remake REmake? It makes literally no sense. All of you guys chomping at the bit are getting too ahead of yourselves. It wouldn't sell, not in the condition that it is. It'd have to be revamped with the camera of post-RE4, and new controls, which defeats the purpose of it.
I LOVE REmake, absolutely. But Capcom will NEVER revisit the old formula. Period. If they do remake it, I expect a bastardization of what made it so great.

I keep waiting for Capcom to buy the REmake rights back from Nintendo, or to see if there was a date when the rights reversed back to Capcom....
If such a thing were to happen, I actually would have thought it'd come out in an investor conference call. ("Sure our sales are lousy...but but but we have acquired the rights to a title licensed to Nintendo a decade ago and its coming out __DATE__.")
