I want to play this game instead.

Well, how unrealistic it still seems that the game will ever be finished, or how funny this thread is, the 2 humans on the pictures are 3d models.
I see the usual differences with photos or drawings that always appear in 3d models for games.

New info on Sadness from gon!ntendo.com and cubed3.com, to summarize:

- The team working on Sadness is currently over 50 strong
- Nibris is not showing any gameplay because they are waiting until they feel that people will be impressed by what they see
- The game has voice-acting
- Orchestrated Soundtrack
- 18 different species of monsters (though you'll only see certain ones depending on what path you take)
- The game will not have load times
- The game will be 20 hours long
- Part of the game will take place in Poland

I guess people won't see gameplay until the game's released then :lol

I wonder if Sadness is a real game?. Honestly I do, the concept arts are kinda cool and I would love to see a game like that.

If it is a joke then it has gone too far.

But seriously; why are people even talking about this? It's not happening.

I'm beginning to suspect Nibris and Sadness are just a big Cubed3 hoax. They seem to mention the "Sadness forum" that they get their information from, but where is this? And they always get the first bits. And the people commenting on the article at the site take it seriously. It's just sad. I know real Sadness... And it is Cubed3.

I doubt it, Nibris is a real developer, so I doubt they'd hoax a game, for example both of these DS games are also from Nibris, and these game are a lot further along then Sadness.

Seriously, guys - why would Cubed3 be getting the exclusive coverage if this were a real game? Nothing against that site, but have you ever stopped to wonder why IGN or 1Up aren't reporting on this?

Here's a hint: it's because the company's entire press relations consist of posts on the IGN forums. NIBRIS aren't even sending out press releases any more.

Perhaps because Cubed3 is based in Europe as are the developers of this game? Regardless IGN and Gamespot both regard Nibris as a real developer and have coverage on some of the other games Nibris is working on so that's enough to suggest that the Company is for real. As for Sadness, I do have my doubts about how much development has been done on the game, and I also have doubts about whether it will come out or not, but I'm pretty sure they're not just straight out lying about their intent to release the game, and I do believe that there is work being done on the game as we speak.

IGN "reported" on Metal Gear Triology.

I mean, really. That's not a sign that the company exists. It's called a database, and they use it to garner hits every time you search for information on a game. Do you think they're really the "the ultimate Sadness resource for trailers, screenshots, cheats, walkthroughs, release dates, previews, reviews, ..."

Feeding "build shots" to a gullible Nintendo websites is not a sign they exist either.

They also reported about the phantom.
And nibris might not be lying, but if they really believe in the project then it's similar to extreme fundamentalists who REALLY believe they'll go straight to heaven escorted by a bunch of virgins if they blow up a certain target.

Also, read the preview of that crappy nibris pang clone for DS on Cubed3 - they report on it as if it's going to be the next big thing, while it's hardly more then a shareware budget title with a concept that has existed for more then 15 years.

Yeah, wouldn't it be hilarious if it came out and was like the best game ever. Like #1 on gamerankings.com, that sh*t would be hilarious.
