I think this refers to the ones that Sony bought exclusivity to. But everything else will be exclusive.

Idk if that would be the case because those already had contracts signed so of course they those contracts couldn't be torn up. I would of imagine they would've just said "current contracts" would be honored instead of the vague "some will be exclusive." I guess we'll have to wait and see lol

If this is accurate, PS5 isnt too far off the PS4 numbers at this time 2014. Yeah it could be alot better, but still.Well PS5 is at 5.6 million sold through 15 weeks according to. VG Chartz. I think they’ll test the waters and see how upset it makes their base. If the doubling of gold is any indication they’re going to have to make it completely exclusive. They’ll just charge their install base higher fees for everything if need be.

Take into account the CPU requirement for Xbox might be slightly higher due to their APIs and their I/O system. That narrows the gap even further.

If it’s in development it’ll come to PS5 (and maybe even 4 - it’s been so long they probably started there).
1. The project has been costed and built that way - as a multiplat - as far as anyone is aware. Recouping those costs means selling it to the target audiences not suddenly cutting one out. MS is business - they know you spec a project for it’s target sales - they’re not gonna crap on the business planning Zeni have done previously.
2. Some people on that team have spent a significant portion of their careers developing that game for PlayStation (and perhaps other platforms). MS can’t turn up and say “hey thanks for your effort but your last five years get canned and you’re a pawn in our corporate machine now”. Those guys will be out the door day one - MS won’t be trying to piss off anyone.
Whatever is in development will be deployed where it was supposed to go. Even if they do a half assed job just to get it out the door.

I think this will do much more than just narrowing the nonexistent 'gap'. PS5 will perform (slightly) better in CPU bound games/scenes just like we see early glimpses of it.

I'm not sure what changes had to be done to EUV. I know there were lots of issues with developing the tech and it got constantly delayed for years upon years. This caused a significant slowdown in node advancement, as a lot of tricks had to be made to make do without EUV. But EUV was finally ready for market and released, so I assume whatever end form it took makes financial sense.
There is some detail on this article regarding EUV, it seems EUV is only used in part of the manufacturing process of 7nm and 5nm while more older tech is still used at 7nm and 5nm.
It still seems like the ASML company is in a very good position given they've exclusive rights to EUV tech, if I'm not mistaken, and intel, TSMC and samsung must buy the EUV equipment from them.
BTW hear 3nm is still on track at TSMC. So that might be used late in ps5 lifespan for ps5 pro.

is now happy because 2 of 3 the consoles lost some of the new games for this acquisition.

It might not be happiness that other consoles lost something but more that the console they prefer will continue to get support. Lots of people were upset when the Dreamcast was dropped and Sega left the hardware space. Many people don't want the Xbox to be met with the same fate. But that is bullshit for example I already bought more Bethesda games for my Xbox One compare to my PS4 pro or even my PC (yeah I know is weird).
In a parallel universe where this acquisition did not happen the same games will be in Xbox so your prefer platform will have the same quantity games you only

The reaction to the doubling was so bad they reversed course in less than a day. And that only applied to new subs. The exclusivity applies to existing customers and their perception of the platform going forward. They have a lot riding on making these games exclusives imo

Gran Turismo was inevitable Covid n all I suspect many games will be getting delayed due to this...also I'm still waiting on a next-gen game for Xbox considering I have both ps5 and Xbox one seems to be collecting dust...
Japan studios closing it happens and this is more of a reshuffling around team Asobi... hardly a bad move since the studio hasn't produced much lately...

If Microsoft wants me to buy third-party content not for my ps5 but for the XsX/XSS then i can do only one of these things for them: not buy it for my ps5.

Nah the only game with a substantial difference is Hitman 3 with a 44% resolution advantage that's constant and higher settings. PS5 will never have that sort of constant advantage over Xbox in its lifetime.
