...this next Tales needs to look better, or I just can`t get behind it.

It's very visually uneven, you are right - some of the dungeons are so bland - but then you'll run into a random area that has a really great art aesthetic. It's strange. But the game is fun and the characters, particularly the relationship between Marta and Emil, turns into something really fun after awhile. Give it 10 hours and see if you feel the same way.
The-Switcher said:100% agree.
I like the characters alot more in Symphonia 2, then in Vesperia.

Acclaimed development studio Level5, which was responsible for games like Dark Cloud, Jeanne D'Arc, and Professor Layton, and world-renowned animation house Studio Ghibli, known best for the likes of Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, are teaming up to produce a new game called Ninokuni which will land in Japan next year.
Studio Ghibli will be handling all of the in-game animation for the game, which revolves around the magical exploits of a young boy. The game will ship with a fully illustrated book called The Magic Master which, judging by the scans from the latest Famitsu, will have a variety of shapes which represent spells to be cast in the game. The player will "need to refer to [the book] from time to time."
Currently, the game is scheduled to release first on the Nintendo DS and then later on an "undecided" console. The two versions will be similar, both employing the aforementioned book, but Level5 has said that it wants to separate the console version from the handheld version in order to make both experiences worthwhile for a single player. Either way, though, it's going to be impossible to resist the brainchild of two leaders in their respective industries.
They were working on Phantasy Star Portable and still are on Radiant Mythology 2, I'm not sure if they can handle one more project. I think this game is supposed to be released within this financial year still?cw_sasuke said:I would guess it`s Alfa System, they could be working on it for a year know after they finished ToI for DS.
that would be incredibly boring for a Tales gameflintstryker said:i really hope that you only use one character in this, playing DQ1 made me love the one man army thing in rpg.

Nuclear Muffin said:Probably a Team Destiny game since Aifa System have just finished TOI, Team Symphonia recently finished TOV and the other Tales team with TOS2 and it has been 2 years since TOD Remake! (Yes I know they've only made 2D Tales games but Namco aren't likely to want to make another 2D console RPG these days!)

The-Switcher said:I'd be interested in knowing exactly what team is making this, I doubt it's Team Symphonia, since they're probably all fired after the purchase of 30,000 copies of Vesperia in the US.
This game really looks to shake things up; an even more fighting orientated entry, plus a more behind the back camera angle. Really dig it!
Inomata designed all Tales by Team Destiny. So what's your point?Mr.Wuggles said:looking at the trailer, this is definitely Alfa System, either that or internally developed by Namco like ToS:KoR.
skinny male character = Inomata artwork (once again).
Nibelung Valesti already posted a link to an AVI file. That should work fine, right?Hero of Legend said:Can someone convert the file to .wmv please?
I've tried a couple of programs, but one crashes and the other claims it's not compatible with mu OS even though it said it was in it's OS list...
And my Media Player Classic won't play it, it just crashes...
You have little idea how fucked my computer is at the moment. :/

Vesperia sold about 100,000-110,000 in US.The-Switcher said:I'd be interested in knowing exactly what team is making this, I doubt it's Team Symphonia, since they're probably all fired after the purchase of 30,000 copies of Vesperia in the US.

Are battles random or can you see the monsters on the map? I didn't see any monsters but I've never played a Tales game.
i plan to play through the Game Cube version of Syphonia over Christmas break.
