2 weeks ago Cowherd didn't like Romo the player. He's trolling everyone now.Futurevoid said:Hate by definition isn't centered. It's hate. Regardless, I'll bite this once and then I'm done cause I'm not going to get into something lengthy argument about Cowherd's nonsense.
The caller who called in said that Romo was 31 years old and at that age had already developed into the QB he was going to be. He also pointed out that he's buckled anytime a playoff opportunity or big game has presented itself whereas someone like Aaron Rodgers at a much younger age has already won playoff games and has had success in the league. Cowherd trotted out that 31 isn't a big deal for a QB (a fair point) and it wasn't fair considering Aaron's "been in the league a number of years before he had success" (not so great a point), three of which he sat down behind Brent. He then goes into his usual statistics rambling comparing the two and finally goes on with his tongue in cheek "Are you doubting Tony Romo, the American hero?" line.
So I'm not hearing what I want to hear. I'm hearing a bullshit point that doesn't say anything outside of Aaron Rodgers took far shorter a time to have more success than Romo has had his entire career.

If they can win this one in a convincing fashion I'll feel so much better about this team. But I have my doubts -- a win like this week's can cause a hangover.

Don't want double or nothing but I'm cool with keeping a new bet with every head to head matchup, given the series history I see it more as a small long term investment than gambling...
LiveWire said:Yea, right? I think we'll be exchanging the same $20 for a long time, lol.
Ugh, that fucking game. Losing is one thing, losing to the Cowboys, worse, but still, it's 2-1 and the sky isn't falling. But the fucking bandwagon fans that come out when the Cowboys win, I can't take it.

A road win in the oldest rivalry in the NFL is always substantial. Jermichael Finley is lethal in the red zone, as if Aaron Rodgers needs yet another weapon to beat you. Unless Rodgers turns the ball over and puts the opposing offense on a short field, I am not sure anyone can beat the Packers

Former NFL coach Buddy Ryan, Rex Ryan's famous father, is preparing to radiation treatment to battle cancer that spread to the lymph nodes in his neck, according to his doctor.
Five days after the Jets' season-opening win over the Cowboys -- aka the Ryan Bowl -- Ryan underwent surgery at the University of Kentucky's Good Samaritan Hospital.
Ryan "has skin cancer. He's had a lot of skin cancers through the years," his surgeon, Dr. Joseph Valentino, told the Herald-Leader of Lexington. "This time, it had spread to the lymph nodes in his neck."
Soon, Ryan will begin five to six weeks of radiation therapy.
In an interview with the newspaper, conducted Monday, Ryan wore a Jets cap and his Super Bowl III ring from the 1968 Jets. He was an assistant coach on that team. Ryan still is as feisty as ever. He was asked about the 1993 sideline incident in Houston, where he punched fellow Oilers assistant Kevin Gilbride -- currently the Giants' offensive coordinator -- during a heated dispute.
"You mean Kevin Gil-dumb?" Ryan asked. "He was wrong. He came at me and what are you going to do when someone comes at you? I slugged him."

But that defense need to step up.
When Victor Cruz and three-years-past-his-prime Brandon Jacobs are scoring on long touchdowns, you kind of know it's your day. That said, the G-Men earned this one by stifling the Eagles when it mattered most. Four stops (penalty included) inside the 2-yard line -- holding Philly to a field goal -- was the key point of Sunday's win and underlined the Jekyll-and-Hyde nature of a club that looked awful two weeks ago in Washington.
We've got a number of players out such as Champ Bailey, DJ Williams, and Elvis Dumervil. The defense has been giving up huge plays these last 3 games, not to mention having trouble stopping the running game. It will be interesting to see how we do against the Packers offense.Buckethead said:Probably.

The NFLN guys were saying y'all had a lot.

People have said Jacobs is "past his prime", but the dude averaged at least 5.0 YPC in three of his past four seasons. The problem as of late is him getting some carries, or at least carries for both he and Ahmad. But whatevs.Nemesis121 said:Cold....
