If they come after Rodger hard he's going to
A) make them miss
and
B) burn them downfield all day long.

If they don't come after Rodgers, he'll just sit in the pocket and still burn us downfield anyways. It's just like last year, the only way we'll be able to win is 10 minute sustained drives and consistently scoring to keep the point difference manageable. We aren't going to be able to count on our defense for shit next week. Maybe a few laughs, that's about it.

Fortunately GB's defense doesn't look too hot either, and our offense is miles better than out defense.
I say hit him in the helmet even if we incur a penalty. theyll score 30+ regardless. a rod is little lets fuck him up.

What makes you think we will be able to hit Rodgers if we couldn't get to T. Jack when Rodgers has better receivers and a much quicker release?

We got absolutely no push up the middle and Edwards and Abraham kept getting blocked way outside. Decloud and Robinson continue to be fuck ups. It's not looking good.

The Panthers/Falcons games this season should be absolute shootouts...

He's delusional.

That's kinda why he threw it to him.
Sure, I understand. Mediocre QBs that have a great WR should key on him, it's their best chance of actually completing passes.

Same thing with Kolb and Fitz!

Haha Vick is angry.

id be kinda upset too nearly 500 yds passing+rush and meh in the redzone and two missed fg's , cant explain that loss besides the eagles still have a weeeeak LB core and their zone scheme isnt working for their secondary.

I knew the Giants loss against the Redskins was because the Giants were rusty and haven't gelled yet, but now they are an elite team and they will get even better once they get healthy. Dare I say Giants-Ravens Superbowl?

So what's this I'm hearing about the Refs giving the game to the Giants by overturning an obvious fumble. The Giants need the refs to help them beat a team like Arizona?

How in the world are people still defending Orton now?

We also saw some horrendous officiating today--obvious catch by Stevie Johnson being ruled incomplete and then upheld, the Cruz fumble that was obviously a bonehead play, etc.

Also, the Lions comeback was fantastic, but the absolute cherry on top was Joe Buck screwing up and not knowing it was 4th down. That alone is a win in my book.

i'm home now! what a great game for the niners.

on one hand, i don't expect this every week. this is the worst defense we have played all year so obviously our #'s are going to be better but it was good to get the win on the road. without mike vick we would have absolutely destroyed the eagles. but he is too fast and too elusive. very fortunate to come away with the win considering how many yards vick racked up.

one thing that kept pissing me off is that on all of jason babins sacks he his anthony davis in the face mask and pushes his head up. THIS IS ILLEGAL HANDS TO THE FACE and you could see that davis was in good position but this affects his blocking. not only that, but justin smith was getting held time and time and time again, no flags. eagles got away with leverage (15 yard penalty) on our first FG miss as well.

whatever though, we won so i don't give a shit. perhaps the best part of the game was crabtree absolutely working nnamdi. he should give some of that money back to the eagles after the way he has played the past couple weeks. thank god we didn't sign him because carlos rogers has been absolutely awesome. that may have been our biggest FA. he has been excellent and really solidified our secondary.

also, people ware finally starting to take notice of navarro bowman. he leads the league in tackles but his best play of the game came on a 3rd and 2 where he ran mike vick down for no gain. keep in mind this is with mike vick moving towards him and he was at a stand still in the zone. that tells me he has very good speed for a LB to run down vick.

i will finish by saying ronnie brown is a fucking idiot. i don't care that it happened against us but if anyone on the niners pulled that shit i would want him cut the next day. i'm not even sure what was going through his mind. i love that it happened but i have never seen anything like that in the NFL. sure, you see qb's going down all the time and just try to chuck it to avoid the sack but i have never seen that front a running back ON THE GOAL LINE! i mean what was going to be the best case scenario there? an incomplete pass and you get to kick a 19 yarder instead of a 20 yarder? baffling.... especially from a veteran.

p.s. alex smith is the best qb in the NFC west. suck it down alex haters!

I have to say this FMT, Harbargh is legit. Dude fixed the lag issue conserning his team and they came back on our swiss hole defense. This was a win in every other team but the Eagles make it soo damn easy to come back on. Reid cant do the SIMPLE SHIT after 13 years. I mean The Lions get it, SF gets it, The Bills get it... The dang Texans get it. GODSAKES even Oakland with Mordor gets it half the damn time. WHY IS IT SO FUCKING COMPLICATED REID.

We need a good ol SEC BALL COACH GODDAMNT. Not this fake ass west coast offence which is the derivitive of the real thing. FMT remembers what it looked like. THIS ISNT IT. As for the SEC Ball COACH, it worked for the baseball team. I know one from BSPN. He worked on something called the Dattabyo Offense? Mega Ratings of CBS for 3 fucking seasons!? YEAH THAT DUDE!

1-3 aint the fuck cutting it mang.

They lost because of his baseball cap.

No, no--Romo must not have had moxie today. That's clearly the problem.

So that stat they gave on FNIA is true? The Lions are the first team ever to come back from 20+ deficits in consecutive games and win both?

Okay Loins, I've learned my lesson. I won't count us out at halftime again for the rest of this season. I'd really rather not get tested on that though, how about you actually play the first half of games eh? :P

I think there were teams in the 70s to do that...to bad we lost a lot a tapes from back then.

A QB that wears his hat backwards will never win a championship. Or one that plays hide and go masturbate on your buddy for his bachelor party.

Edit: Sandy Clough is a fuck.

AS TMQB would say, the Cardinals lost because their cheerbabes were too coverded up, wearing white baggy tops. The football gods frown on such things, they should have been showing much more cleavage on breast-awareness day.

That and Eli has been fucking clutch since the second half of the Rams game!

Doesn't Big Ben always wear his hat backwards? :P

Now that I've calmed down a bit (2 hours of Monster Hunter Dos helps), I feel a bit...better so to speak.

Good for the Lions. Good to see them 4-0. They deserve it, and Megatron is boss.

As for the Cowboys...they have issues. MAJOR ISSUES.
Blow a 24 point lead? For shame.
3 Taints? For shame...

I try to be a good Cowboys fan, but when they pull off performances like that...it's REALLY fucking hard sometimes.

Here's the rule from the NFL on that Cruz play. It showed up on Twitter:

On key NYG play, pg 35 of rulebook "Official shall declare ball dead...when runner declares himself down by falling to ground or kneeling & making no effort to advance." Rule 7, Section 2, Article 1 (e), page 35 of NFL Rule Book

I'm trying to find a video of the Cruz play to post.

Eli isn't even bullshitting on that call.
Eli is too honest for his own good. Phil Simms would've said "Of course he was down, what the fuck is the matter with you?". Personally, I still think he was down, the guy hit him and Cruz stumbled down and did not fumble it prior.

It's almost identical to the Mark Sanchez play vs. the Raiders, the guy hit Sanchez causing him to go down.

well, maybe your sort of right about the football gods; if we can make the Zebra's the doubting thomases.

First time listening to The Fan and wow is this shit heated.

It's gotten progressively worse since the start of the season. Bookmark the link for further fireworks for sure. I'm pretty sure that the anti-Orton vs pro-Orton crowds are going to eventually get into some fisticuffs.

Heh, I'm honestly curious to see it again. Reading the rule:

An official shall declare dead ball and the down ended:

(a) when a runner is out of bounds or declares himself down by falling to the ground and makes no effort to advance.
Anyone have a video?

The city of Denver will not punch Orton's mom no matter how bad it gets.

It was only two--3 picks, 2 returned for TDs.

Like I said, I think the hit caused him to go down. He only "lost" the ball after dropping it to walk to the offensive LOS.

OK, Rams fans--what happened to your team? It was obvious Bradford was overrated, but how did he (and everyone else on the team) regress so much?
