Aside from division rivalry, why?
I used to believe in White Vick, but that ship sailed already. Iggles need to roll Vick out like 20 times a game.effzee said:The OLINE is playing better this year than they were last year. Not that they are good, they aren't but they are not as horrible as they were last season. Still Vick is getting hit even more now and I think the reason is because they have been telling him to stay in the pocket. The problem with that is that he isn't Tom Brady or Manning and it takes him longer to find the open guy and then get the ball out. On top of that he is short so for him to see the field properly he has to move around. My theory is that he should be moved around more and should be allowed to take off more. He gets hurt more standing in the pocket and getting hit even after he throws as defensive linemen are closing in on him.
When he is outside the pocket moving around he sees the field better, sees the defenders chasing him better, and is more likely to make more plays scrambling. Forcing him to stay in the pocket doesn't work. Those first 6 games last year when he was extremely effective, he was still moving around as much as he used to in ATL, only that when he moved out of the pocket he would look to pass down the field before taking off.

In 2009, Browns linebacker DQwell Jackson suffered a torn left pectoral muscle, causing him to miss the final 10 games of the season. In training camp in 2010, Jackson suffered a torn right pectoral muscle, causing him to miss the entire season and leading to speculation that Jacksons career might be over.
But Jackson didnt just return to the Browns this year. He came back with a vengeance, and today hes been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
In his first three games back after missing the previous 26 consecutive games with the two pectoral injuries, Jackson had 30 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery, helping the Browns go 2-1 in September.

If you have watched Alex over the course of his career you will know this is the best he has ever looked sine Norv Turner was the 49ers OC.

wtf is this shit?BankaiZaraki said:Just like CJ...Foster has been nothing but a bust this year. What a hack. One great season and his sophmore season hampered by injuries. I say keep Ben Tate getting the ball..He's having a pretty good season so far.
My point is those stats, IMO, are a major reason as to why we won. Thus, I'll take wins and crap stats over losses and great stats.BaltimoreLarry said:Let's not get crazy here. Your two wins are against the Bengals and the Seahawks. Next six games: @PHI, TB, @DET, CLE, @WAS, NYG.
JPP will be in there plenty. They can say "majority" of the snaps all they like but he'll be in that rotation. He'll be brought in to play inside at DT much like Tuck is and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stood up as a rushing linebacker on certain plays like he was last year.TheFrankman said:So I just read Jason Pierre Paul will be benched once Osi comes back and Osi will play "a majority" of the snaps if he's deemed fully healthy.

What's the latest on Ryan Grant and Bryan Bulaga? ... Sounds like Packers will be careful and might hold out both.

It definitely shows having a decent linebacker compared to last year when our best was Fujita (who also got injured)
Whoa there buddy, let the guy get on the field first.BankaiZaraki said:Just like CJ...Foster has been nothing but a bust this year. What a hack. One great season and his sophmore season hampered by injuries. I say keep Ben Tate getting the ball..He's having a pretty good season so far.
lets not forget that Tate is 3rd on the on the depth chart and the only reason he's been starting is cause Ward got hurt too.Miguel said:Whoa there buddy, let the guy get on the field first.
Foster is all of those things MechDX posted.
Vision, initial burst, one cut and go, football IQ are all better on Foster. Tate is a GREAT #2 to have, but let's not get carried away here.
I tend to believe Kubiak in regards to injury concerns, they're usually really cautious with injuries and will generally skirt around the issue when talking about a player being ready for Sunday if they're not going to be read. I'm not sure that Foster is 100% just yet, but from the sounds of things he's probably 90-95%. Also sounds like he maybe could have gone against the Saints if they absolutely needed him (they did, but that's beside the point) but gave him an extra week just to be sure.
I think it was his job to win (backup role) once Ward went down... and he hasn't disappointed.captive said:lets not forget that Tate is 3rd on the on the depth chart and the only reason he's been starting is cause Ward got hurt too.
