Mike Pereira breaks down which QBs get the most flags in their favor.
So, can we finally all agree that Vick, Big Ben and ARod are coddled pussies, while Peyton and Tom Brady are the real men out there?

Speaking of stats, where is the stat for begging for flags after getting hit? I wonder who leads that category...
While me and Packers nation may have many differences on things like politics, science (i.e. evolution, global warming, curvature of the Earth, etc.), and humor it is good to know that all decent human beings are alike on a basic level in our shared hatred of Brady and the Patriots.wienke said:![]()

Doomsayer said:I like Harbaugh, he is fixing what has plagued us the past few years.
Turnovers and Time of Possession.
49ers are winning the Time of Possession Battle, 32:23 to 28:34
49ers' Turnover Ratio is +6, tied for BEST IN THE NFL. Only 2 Turnovers in 3 games
Once he gets his system fully installed hopefully the 49ers can be lethal again. We have to fix that abomination of an offensive line though.

This is the right answer. I love what Harbaugh is doing. I don't need flashy gaudy numbers. I want a competitive team that doesn't lose because of its own doing, and so far this is what I'm getting. I can live with the Dallas lost if our db doesn't trip in coverage and leave Miles Austin wide open for a score we may win that game.
I'm even not that torn up about the Field Goal / Penalty situation. Given the talent of the team why take points off the board. In fact Brian Billick starts talking about it as soon as the penalty was seen.
"Never Take Points Off THE BOARD!"
(Though I wish he would have taken the penalty and saw what happened.)
Play calling, when needed, has been far more creative. That Tight End screen to Vernon Davis during the 49ers scoring drive against Cincinnati is not something we ever saw in the Singletary Era.
The team is far more efficient under Harbaugh and you can tell they are better underneath him. I'm impressed with the improvements of Alex Smith so far. A play that really stands out to me is when the snap goes over Alex's head against Dallas and he is able to scoop it up, run to his right and make a play.
Before Alex would have gotten the ball fumbled and given up six the other way while proceeding to lay in a fetal position. I think Harbaugh's understanding of the QB Position is invaluable.
I live in San Diego and before Harbaugh made Stanford a force in the NCAA. He coached a horrid small school here called the USD Toreros and took them from the outhouse to the penthouse in the Pioneer League. So he has a track record of turning teams around and this should be no different.
Obviously it is going to be a long time before we know the real answer but, so far so good.
I do think that Harbaugh has his hands tied to a degree he didn't have a chance to fully implement his system and he doesn't really know what his players are capable of. Plus getting acclimated to coaching at the pro level has got to be a change as well. Not having an off season I think hurt the 49ers mre than any other team.
With that I think they will get better every week and I've seen enough to know Harbaugh can get the job done.
TLDR: ME LIKEY HARBAUGH!

FrenchMovieTheme said:he will open the offense up more and more as we go along. we can't sustain this turnover margin throughout the entire season, much as i would like it. alex smith has somehow NOT fumbled this season even though he is getting clobbered from the blindside time and time again. seriously don't know how we didn't lose a fumble against the cowboys or bengals after how he was hit.
Maybe Stafford grew up with Brady as his idol. He wants to be just like him!FrenchMovieTheme said:not really, i'm not a vikings fan so it didn't matter to me. just very disappointing to see him bitch out that way. as i said before, i expect that type of behavior from tom brady and mike vick, not from stafford
meljeff said:I don't doubt this. Each week the passing yards have gone up and it will be a matter of necessity to open up the offense. Opposing defenses are begging us to throw the ball by stacking the box. A lot is going to depend on how the game is going though. If the game is where the 49ers have a lead I think we see an ultra conservative style and if they are behind, well then he'll give us the best chance to win.
This season to me isn't so much about wins and losses as it is about improvement and it is heading in the right direction. I've said it before if Jim is as good as John I'm happy.

we really need braylon back. crabtree is playing but not healthy so we have 3 WR's at this point, none of them very good (dear josh morgan: catch the ball AND FUCKING TURN UP FIELD! why do you stop to look around? just fucking move the ball forward you stupid shit)

You guys would only get games where the home team usually fails to fill up it's stadium, making them not give a crap about losing a home game.Alligatorjandro said:Probably be like 49ers vs Rams or something

LevelNth said:I think it's astonishing just what Jim Harbaugh has done to the 49ers in just 10 weeks. Think about that for a second, the guy has had only 10 short weeks with the team, and he revamped 90% of the coaching staff and threw out both the entire offensive and defensive schemes from last season.
Not only that, but the FO was criticized HEAVILY after losing Franklin and Lawson, and failing to sign any big names. It was near unanimous amongst analysts prior to the season that we were a worse team than last year's 6-10 effort. Worse than that.
Yet here we are, a field goal at the end of a game away from 3-0, with the perennially disappointment Alex Smith playing the best football he's ever played, short in only the yards and TD categories (important categories I understand).
Say what you want about who we've played, but IMO it doesn't take away from what he has ALREADY done with this team.
meljeff said:Yeah Soppoga is filling in nicely and made me forget all about Franklin and Lawson was never going to live up to his potential. Got rid of Mays and actually in a way I appreciate the front office didn't do much.
Let Harbaugh get the players he thinks are going to fit his scheme best. I like the fact we got Davis, and Willis signed up and then rented some guys for a year (Edwards / Rodgers..etc) and let Harbaugh have some say next off season.

The Giants have played well in AZ in the past but Fitz has also traditionally had good games against us. In the past three he has something like 330yds and 1 TD. I still think we win this game. Kolb buckles like a bitch under pressure and he'll be getting plenty of that on Sunday.

lolDeSean Jackson is once again facing whispers from unnamed teammates that he's afraid to get hit for fear of losing out on a mega contract.
One undisclosed teammate admitted to Yahoo! Sports, "I can't lie - it is something I've thought about. There was a play toward the very end of the game where it looked like he might have short-armed it. And I don't blame him." Jackson faced the same whispers at the end of last season. He admitted Thursday that staying healthy is his top priority "regardless of where I'm playing."
