Oddly enough, we can still make it mathematically.

I hate this fucking team.

It's so twisted...A team in the playoffs with a 7-9 record...and hosting a playoff game on top of everything?

Are you suppose to be proud of them that they made the playoffs? Knowing that they're terrible?

Dammit

I dunno about being proud but If i was a 49ers and they made the playoffs I'd get my trollface out and hope to cause some meltdowns with a win or 2 or something to piss off the sportsnation

Basically, this.

I would love to see the Niners make it in at 7-9 and knock off a team or two. :D That said, I'm a Rams fan this weekend.

Also I'm longing for the day that Jackson, Floyd, Crayton and Gates all play together.

horrible performance. not that we would have won, but that "facemask" call on the KR TD is one of the worst calls i have ever seen.

we'll still make the playoffs because:

1. seahawks will lose to the bucs and falcons
2. rams will lose to the chiefs and niners
3. niners will beat the rams and cardinals

that's all we need to make the playoffs at 7-9. suck it down losers!

Wow that's shockingly feasible.

Likely even.

The only hiccup being the Niners beating the Rams but hell its all NFC West.

most people disagree with me but for some reason we just matchup well with the rams. the only player who really caused us problems in our first meeting was amendola. but every receiver who faces nate clements causes us problems.

nate clements might be the best tackling CB in the league, but he also maybe the worst "#1" cb in the league as well. sucks!

An unexpected heavy snow has left me without television. Missed the last part of the game. I didn't get my full serving of fail. :sadface

This game was pretty meaningless, b/c STL and SEA probably won't win this week. The battle for the division is basically next week with SF vs STL. Even if STL wins vs KC, SF is still in it.

The Rams are great at home and Cassel might be out again. The Chiefs beating them is far from guaranteed.

They're good but not great. I they haven't really beaten anybody great at home like the Falcons. They have a very good chance if they can shut down bowe, but the secondary sucks, so I don't know.

Holy crap the niners got shit on...

But then again, whats new. They are so terrible. At least you can root for the rams because they have a few close losses but the niners are terribad all around. Ugh, why do they keep getting these national games?

Oh for sure, I'm looking forward to it. But the Rams really struggle to score points. If Cassel plays, I think KC wins.

My favorite part of the game was listening to Theismann wanting Singletary to get another year.
I don't remember the last time Theismann was right about anything.

The Chargers are looking good. They always match up well against the Pats. I am hoping they knock them out and we get a rematch with the Chargers.

Not sure if I'd consider recently getting dominated by the Raiders at home "looking good".
Let a man dream dammit!

Speaking of dreams (specifically the crushed kind), how much longer do I need to display this pathetic thing as my avatar?

can you imagine that? if the niners brought back singletary AND alex smith? even if we won the superbowl i would be wary of bringing him back.

i honestly do like alex smith and feel he is a victim of our awful franchise and instability. when i look out around the league every week i see receivers just making insane catches. i see aaron rodgers receivers make one handed, tip toe catches. i see eli mannings receivers make the tough catch over the middle. i see peyton mannings receivers making insane catches. and when i watch the niners i see easy drops, and usually in crabtrees case he is good for one tip + int per game. now is this alex smith being inaccurate? i guess. but shit you're in the nfl. if it hits you in the hands you catch it, period.

alex could be a really good backup or a decent starter with some stability. but he has to leave the niners to do that. he will never amount to anything here. we need to blow up the coaching staff from top to bottom because it is embarrassing the amount of offensive talent we have only to score 0 points against the bucs or 7 against the chargers or 7 against the chiefs. i know these are good teams but come on.

A month passed 2 days ago :lol. But you already knew that didn't you? You just really love Brady deep down.

I don't know why people are so worried about the Pats. They're just an above average team at best talent-wise. They've been thrashing teams only because of superior coaching. All you have to do is catch them on a bad coaching day and pretty much any team can knock them out of the playoffs.

I will let my avatar answer this one.

And I agree with you on the Pats, but which coach is going to step up to the plate?

at least you don't have an obese qb avatar :(
Better than Brady!

Mike Smith. It would not require a bad coaching day to take place.

lol yeah right the patriots would destroy our secondary. Also we only have one pass rusher and abraham just vanishes some games.

Grimes makes plays but he's shorter than danny woodhead.

No, you are wrong. We match up well against them. Brady likes those little swing passes to the RB's, we stop those and we can stifle them. Our LB squad is pretty good. They don't have an up the middle RB. We can play ball control and keep them off the field.
I think the Falcons can hang with the Pats this year.

I agree we can hold on to the ball and burn some time. Too many drives end in field goals though and that's frustrating. I know it's preseason and the falcs have gotten better but that game in august was awful. My grandma could've run against the falcons d in that game.

I have no faith in the falcs man, but I'm enjoying this ride lol.

WTF. I didn't realize the Eagles drafted Jamar Cheney from Mississippi State. He was on a long (Like fucking LONG) list of MLBs I wanted with this draft. Let's see what this guy's got, I expect him to get paved over by our Gs since we run so much Power, especially with Jacobs.

All I ask is that the Giants run all goddamned day. We run, we win!

And still you guys needed an absolute bullshit call to win the game.

I'm calling it right now: there's absolutely no fucking way the 49ers win in St. Louis. But you will get to watch us celebrate the division championship, so at least that's something :D

what was the bullshit call? the PI? why is that a bullshit call? the niners seem to get called every other week when there is no chance for the receiver to catch it but because our DB's don't know how to LOOK FOR THE FUCKING BALL it's a PI. samething with otogwe on that play.

and speaking of bullshit calls, we had a bunch of bogus calls all game. if you can't stop a team on 3rd and 32 from converting you don't deserve to win.

Damn, Troy is going to be out against the Jets.

I could see Edwards beasting on us over the top if Sanchez gets time. This game also means a lot more to the Jets. The Ravens will probably lose to the Saints and if that happens the Steelers just need to beat the Browns to secure the 2seed and the division.
