blah blah blah... fuck the owners. they own a mother fucking national football team. how bad could your life be. im all for players and fans. fans play a more part then anything in this league. i get that its a business but it use to be more than a business bsck when the league started. it was a sport. both these sides (nfl and players) can go fuck themselves cause they would not be shit without us.

Not at all. I dont think I have ever been mad about anything online. I love talking about football and I can laugh at myself when I do something stupid. Plus Ez is just to funny.

rhetorical question, i know that eagles fans don't get annoyed by such trivial things; they get annoyed by serious problems, like having a black quarterback.

i kid, i kid

I thought Rex dropped a lot of f bombs, but I watched that new 24/7 show and the Capitals coach is a true master.

I think you are thinking of Green Bay. :p
Philly likes anyone that wins, and hates anyone that doesnt, or that thorws up. :lol

from 2000-2009, which QBs were more successful than mcnabb? he was very solid for an extended period of time. i don't actually think racism has anything to do with it, but he was/is seriously underappreciated.

That HBO show on the Capitals and Penguins was terrific.

These "Hard Knocks" type of shows are really entertaining in general.

Big Ben, Brady, and Manning, but you are right Mcnabb put it huge numbers and won a ton of big games during that time. I was actually just kidding about the throwing up thing. I dont actually believe that story at all.

Not that Santa. The team sucked and people were pissed and the guy playing Santa was drunk and not a good santa. If you want to read about it here you go. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=1980880

start of article "Frank Olivo -- the erstwhile Santa in question -- wasn't drunk, nor was his red suit in tatters that December day in 1968 when he walked onto the field for the halftime show, only to be met by a chorus of jeers and a snowball fusillade from Eagles fans."

i'm confused.

I am confused also. It talks about how the Gov said he was drunk, and I have seen him talk about it on TV before. Weird, I guess Philly fans were just jerks back in 1968.

Edit: I cant believe I posted an article that proved what I was arguing against, this is just not my night. :lol

hey man, i *never* know what i am talking about, so i feel where you're at.

Yeah it is kicking my ass tonight. The worst part of the OJ thing was the Eagles won their last game which was totally meaningless and that is why they didnt get the #1 pick.

For the second straight week, FOX plans to play music during live NFL game action.

According to USA Today, FOX will "formally announce" Friday that it will add music to Cardinals/Panthers on Sunday afternoon. This comes just one week after the network tested the concept on a 49ers/Seahawks game.

While music is ubiquitous in sports programming, it is usually only used at the beginning and end of games, before and after commercial breaks, or during highlight packages.

The idea of using music during game action is likely unprecedented.

FOX Sports President Eric Shanks is even open to the idea of playing music during Super Bowl XLV, calling it a "possibility."

Shanks also did not rule out using music from "famous artists" or even picking songs for crosspromotion purposes.

http://www.sportsmediawatch.net/2010/12/sound-of-music-fox-to-play-music-during.html

Fox will formally announce today that it will add music on its regional Arizona Cardinals-Carolina Panthers game Sunday (1 p.m. ET) after an unannounced test on last week's Seattle Seahawks-San Francisco 49ers game. Fox Sports President Eric Shanks on whether such soundtracks will pop up on Fox's upcoming Super Bowl: "It's a possibility."

Given you're bombarded with mood-prompting music in TV shows, ads and movies — and in stadiums and arenas during games — it's seems inevitable that sideline shots of, say, Bill Belichick could end up being accentuated by Lady Gaga's Poker Face. That's Jay-Z's I Know What Girls Like taking us inside the heads of kickers who just made game-winning field goals. Cue "It's Raining Men" as players run out of tunnels. Everything going wrong for a team? Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!

Fox's Shanks says game playlists could include famous artists — "the rule is you use it just once and don't edit it" — but will also draw on original medleys. For Sunday's game, Fox has 15 new cuts from James Cardoni, who has composed music for the prime-time show CSI.

But having cuts you'd hear in movies, like spooky chords when babysitters find out the calls are coming from inside the house, is one thing. Knowing when to use them is another. "This is all in the execution," Shanks says. "Just like music in movies, you have to use it at the right times. And imagine trying to score a movie the first time you're seeing it." Plus, he says, announcers during last week's test game needed to get their groove on "to get a feel whether to keep talking or let the music build the suspense or drama for the next play."

Asked if NFL games might cross-promote Fox movies by using their theme songs, Shanks says "We haven't gotten that far, but that's really interesting. Have an NFL '70s night when American Idol has a '70s night? Maybe there's cross-promotion there." And purists really shouldn't write off this idea until, say, they see a holding replay set to Your Cheatin' Heart.

And here's video of the in-game soundtrack from last week's Seattle/San Francisco game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQu0ynlNtbg

So now not only does Fox have the worst video feed, it pulls this shit too. Can't wait until that new single off the upcoming American Idol/Xfactor album plays during a Sanchez superbowl interception! Synergy baby, synergy.

i watched that entire niners game last week and that music was fucking awful. i kept thinking they were going to commercial breaks.... but they would just be doing normal replays.

FOX needs to scrap that shit now. NO ONE will ever like it.... ever.

why does the NFL network still employ jamie dukes? this guy is fucking horrible. he is the worst on any network of all time. i'd rather listen to sean salsbury than jamie dukes

Aaron Rodgers is listed as doubtful on the Green Bay Packers' official injury report. But Rodgers' playfulness Friday afternoon and one statement by his coach could be viewed as encouraging signs for Packer Nation.

Rodgers left last week's game against Detroit with his second concussion of the season and didn't practice at all this week. But Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers is "progressing" and he could wait to make a decision on his playing status until shortly before Green Bay meets New England on Sunday night.

Earlier this week, McCarthy said he'd make a decision by Saturday.

"The door is open for Aaron Rodgers to play in the game," McCarthy said.

Rodgers refused to answer questions Friday about his playing status. He was sharp and quick-witted with reporters, though, mocking one's sweater and laughing about a rumor that he and ESPN's Erin Andrews dined together earlier this week.

Dude is playing...and banging Andrews!

scouting report on Minnesota QB Joe Webb said:
He isn't a natural passer and struggles to read coverages. Webb lacks the ability to go through his progressions. He doesn't display a confident throwing motion, has a tendency to short arm throws underneath and fails to keep his feet under him when asked to drive the ball downfield. He has a tendency to fall off on a lot of throws and is squeamish in the face of pressure. … He lacks ideal accuracy and touch on all levels of the field. He has a lazy delivery and will drop his elbow. Webb fails to generate much power from his lower half. He isn't a strong-armed passer and lacks the touch and anticipation skills to fit the ball into tight areas. He fails to diagnose coverages, will force the ball into traffic and isn't safe with the ball.
... I hope that's edited. I've never seen a completely negative scouting report on an NFL QB outside of videogames.

i saw him blow up on a fellow nfl network announcer about whether roy williams blew the game against the saints or if it was for other reasons and he blew up calling out dallas's defense and it was one of the funniest things i have ever seen so +1 for him

Called it. Im clearly a genius.

Although not the second part. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that A-God would hit only the finest.

Clay getting some on the side.

Aaron hit it first. At the QB Challenge his senior year, back before Erin Andrews was famous, he was drilling the shit out of her. She was ALL OVER HIM the entire telecast. It was pretty hilarious.
