If I had to guess at this point Im going to say Rodgers will play. Doubtful means nothing. He missed the entire week of practice... of course thats what theyre going to list him as.

Whether I think it's a good idea is another story...but if I had to put money on it Id say he plays.
Just curious, what makes you believe that Rodgers is going to play?

Well, I'm glad I didn't exchange my Orakpo jersey for a McNabb jersey after the extension.

I'll trust the coaching staff on this one, but they better be right. Waste of a trade but sometimes you need to move on. I'm confused.

The fact that McCarthy hasn't ruled him out today in my opinion means unless there's some sort of "setback" then he's going to play. If Rodgers failed the tests with the new concussion policy McCarthy would likely be mandated to declare him out of the game for the injury report. In my opinion because he's doubtful means he hasnt failed them (just like last time).

Yall are crazy. With the Vikings history of QB choices, you know that's where McNabb is headed next season.

If not there, then probably Arizona since he lives there in the offseason, IIRC.

If I were him I would go to Arizona. Easy division, better weather, Larry Fitzgerald and an organization that went to the Super Bowl recently.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is the 2010 Male Athlete of the Year, chosen by members of The Associated Press.

Brees is just the fourth NFL quarterback in four decades to win the annual AP award, which dates to 1931. The Super Bowl MVP received 48 of 176 votes submitted by news organizations that make up the AP’s membership. The award was announced Friday.

Brees, whose career was threatened five years ago by a serious right shoulder injury, led the Saints to their first NFL title last February. The victory came amid the backdrop of millions of dollars in charitable work Brees has spearheaded to help New Orleans recover from Hurricane Katrina.

NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, the 2009 AP Male Athlete of the Year, finished second with 31 votes. Johnson won his fifth straight title last month.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao was third with 21 votes.

Sweet!

I've been watching him since 2004. I've seen the best and the worst of Eli (he was worse in 2007 by the way when the Giants won it all). Sorry, I won't be calling for his head any time soon.

With most of his INTs, it's receiver's fault. Let's not start printing up the Jim Sorgi jerseys yet.

McCarthy all but ruled him out on the radio last night.

Giants should bring back Jload:lol

Edit: Apparently he's a qb coach at a high school and gm on indoor football's Northern Kentucky River Monsters:lol

I don't think Eagles are trading Kolb unless they get floored by a high 2nd or a 1st round pick.

McNabb has the best chances in Minn with good WRs, elite RB, good OLINE, and good D that will probably improve with Frazier being a defensive guy.

But he probably lands in Arizona since he lives there.

What did Schaub go for when ATL traded him? I'd use that as the basis.

What makes you think Frazier will be there at the end of the season?

Don't really care for McNabb I really hope he does not end up in the desert. I don't really think the Cardinals care if he lives in Phoenix or not.

Redskins are fuckin' stupid.

Draft some wideouts before getting rid of a fairly reliable QB.

Back to the basement you go, Skin fans.

Fewell will run around this year doing interviews as well.

Frazier is either the Vikings HC or he's gone, he won't stick around if they don't hire him at the end of the year.

Well what are the other options? Want to get in on the Kolb sweepstakes?

Only two teams I can see taking a chance on Mcnabb are the Cards and the Broncos. If the skins release him though, plenty of teams will be interested then.

Heard this earlier today. That definitely is not Moss. Why would he call in to a radio show when he can just blast the coach on national tv after a game.

Edit:Why would Moss even care about Norm Chow?

it was just to make a point about Fisher's claim about valuing face time in one situation and not in another.

interested that the redskins can cut mcribb at seasons end and not have to pay him another penny.

i wonder how much of a market there will be for mcnabb this offseason. he clearly has talent but this is a perfect example of a system qb going to another system and not having success. this is why i really didn't want the niners giving up picks for mcribb because who knows how he performs. well, he goes to a similar system (west coast) and he really had a shitty year. the last game i can remember where he really lit it up was the texans game and much like the 49ers i think most decent qb's could light up their D.

i think mcnabb could have SOME interest, but i can't really think of a great situation that he could go into. niners will be looking for a qb, and it's a possibility because we'll have a new coaching staff. vikings are obviously a possible destination. cardinals could be a destination. those are 3 pretty decent destinations. then you have teams like the raiders, bengals, dolphins who could feasibly make a run at him but it would be more surprising.

49ers, Cards, Vikings, Cincy, Tennessee, Miami, heck maybe even the Jets. Any team that isnt Carolina that has a Qb issue could be interested. After Luck their really isnt much to work with in this draft. Even if a team drafts Locker or one of the other 2nd tier QB's they are going to need someone to keep fans in the seats until the young QB is ready in a season or 2.

Shanahan is a shitty, shitty coach. I'm sorry Redskins, I really am. I think he has officially passed Kubiak in terms of stupidity. How much money has he wasted? How much artificial drama has he had with Haynesworth and McNabb? On top of that, your defense went from GREAT! to absolute SHIT! in one season. Goddamn.

Fuck wideouts, always build from the inside out. They need an OL!

I think you're way wrong and you'll see 3 QBs go in the top 15, and Locker won't be one of them.

Edit: Maybe 15 is a bit much, feel pretty confident about 3 being taken in the top 20.

If Washington was really the place of his choosing, then he brought it on himself. He should have visited with Jake Plummer to talk about Shanahan. :P

And I told you guys at the beginning of the season that Grossman would eventually be the starter. You all laughed. What now, bitches?! Grossman is the ORIGINAL Cutler, boyee!

Sal Pal said on ESPN radio that the Skins own Mcnabb's rights until September 1st at which time they would have to pick up his option of release him. He thinks that Shanahaan will just keep him in limbo until then, and by then all the QB openings will be filled.

Trent Williams and Jammal Brown at tackles, but everything else is meh. When your #2 WR's and on are Anthony Armstrong, Brandon Banks, Roydell Williams, and for a while, the elderly Joey Galloway, something's wrong. For the time first time I've felt bad for McNabb. :|

Jesus, this is the most fucked up contract, why would his agent ever let him do this.

The best part is that when he signed it, his agent Fletcher Smith bragged that it was the best contract any QB ever signed. LOL.

The trend has been to let the young guys play, especially since Ryan and Flacco had so much success early on. Luck will have very opportunity to start from day 1. Mallett and Locker might depending on what the o-line/running game situation is.

How much time can you invest in an aging veteran who may not be familiar with your offense?

Arizona and Minnesota look like logical landing spots right now, but we don't what way Minnesota will go with their next coach/o-coordinator. Whisenhunt at least is known for adjusting to personnel.

Doesn't matter if Locker goes second or not. He's a second tier QB and so are Newton and Mallet. Neither is ready to start immediately. Teams like Cincinnati, Miami, and the 49ers have teams that would have a lot more wins if they had a better QB. McNabb may not be a great QB, but if he were in Miami, Cincinatti, or SF those teams wouldnt be at the bottom of the barrel record wise right now.

You bring in a McNabb if you have a team with talent that is going to have to wait a year or two for the QB to be ready.

Edit: No I would agree with the strong possibility of 3 going in the top 15. Just look at the teams that need a QB in the top 15 (right now)- Carolina, Cincinnati, Arizona, SF, Washington (without McNabb), Tennessee, Minnesota. Seattle may even decide it's time to make a move for the future. In the next 5 you have Miami and possibly Oakland. Almost certainly there will be 3 in the top 15 and there is a strong possibility that all 4 first round prospects (:lol) go in the top 20.
