hasn't Anthony Gonzalez been sleeping in a hyperbolic chamber since college? How the fuck does that guy get injured so often?
Probably loses the gained superpowers whenever he steps outside, e.g. during football games.

Awesome. Hopefully he can get healthy and come back home. I want to see more Havner TD catches!
You'd probably be seeing more Havner special team tackles.

Speaking of special teams, Jarrett Bush is like an ST all-star. He's impressed me much these last couple of weeks.

What you guys think,

Vick vs. Colts
Roethlisberger @ Bengals

I just keep picturing how Matt Ryan murdered the bengals secondary, even though its divisional for the Steelers.

Jonathan Joseph was out against the Falcons, but he's expected back this week.

Go with Vick.

Vick, expect pass rush from Freeney and Mathis to make him step up and then turn the corner. Should have big day on the ground and Jackson should be back for some good deep throws from Vick on the run.

Edit:
Mixed up Jackson's, both are good WRs...sorry

hmmm..... :P

Hearing Moss going to the Titans.....ugh
He going quit on Fisher too? I hope not.

Just bring back Dyson instead of Moss :lol :lol

Just picked up the Bills D for this week. I have a good feeling that they will be able to hit Jay Cutler early and often. Secondly I think Shawn Merriman will be able to do some good in stopping Forte.

Hey Packer fans, what u think of Nelson? Need to fill a WR for this week only and he could be an option? Any help or info on him? Its him or take chances on either Parrish or Cotchery.

He's going to be our #2 Receiver (either 2 or 3) against a weak Dallas secondary.

If our offense starts playing anywhere near what they're capable, he should have a pretty big day.

Picked up Heyward-Bay this week and need to pick up another WR. Last week I got lucky, Picked up LaFell,Pettigrew and Raiders D and scored big...Talk about luck

The NFL has fined Philadelphia Eagles LB Ernie Sims $50,000 for an illegal hit levied in a game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.

Sims is the first player disciplined since the league vowed to increase the punishments doled out for violations of the NFL's policy against illegal hits.

"Specifically, on a pass play, he unnecessarily struck his opponent, a defenseless receiver, in the head and neck area with his forearm," NFL spokesman Jon Zimmer told PFT.

The hit in question was on Titans WR Lavelle Hawkins, the AP reported.

NFL VP of football operations Ray Anderson said two weeks ago that the league would aggressively discipline illegal hits going forward, including with potential suspensions even for first-time violators.

So league was just kidding about suspensions? And whats up with waiting so long to fine him?

Titans picking up Moss is a great move, and one I heartily applaud.

...

...

Hey, it seems I was wrong! I would wish Randy Moss on my worst enemy!

they didn't say it would be automatic, they announced the fine on wednesday, which is when they typically review or finish reviewing these things.

Osi Umenyoira has been nominated as the NFC Defensive Player of the Month w/ 18 tackles (10 solo), incl 7.0 sacks and 6 forced fumbles according to Giants PR guy Pat Hanlon.

Gotta love those contract years...

Oh and Steelers GAF, get ready. Sports Illustrated sees a Giants/Steelers Super Bowl!

WAAAAAY to early to be discussing Super Bowl participants but it's fun to dream.:D

So bench him because he balled out against you?

No, he failed to ball out against an opponent's defense, causing me to lose by .5 points.

And hey, since you're here, might as well do another update:

I'll bet that Tony Romo will outproduce Kolb, Orton(lol), Tom Brady, and pretty much any other QB you're willing to toss in the mix. Tony Romo's going to throw for 4800 yards and 32 TDs. Count on it.

Looks like McCoy will be starting against the Pats. Neither Seneca or Jake practiced yesterday and unless Seneca (who is closer to returning of the two) somehow recovers by the weekend it'll be Colt.

That's what I'm worried about. Osi is having a great season, and by years end, if he continues his great production, he will want more money. With Kiwi out for the season and also a FA, it's a big decision the Giants will have to do. I know the Giants value ends highly, so having one of them along with Tuck and JPP will definitely be needed. I see them drafting another DE sometime next draft, too.

Speaking of contract years... it's going to be damn tough to re-sign Barry Cofield. Great season and may get Pro Bowl/All Pro honors if he remains healthy.

Yep. Both he and Canty are the reason Linval Joseph hasn't been dressed for most games this season. I don't think the Giants as an organization expected either to be playing at the level they are though more specifically Cofield (hence the trade attempt to the Saints). With Osi likely wanting more money, Kiwi being a free agent and having to resign Cofield - there's some serious decision making that needs to be done.

Personally? I want Cofield signed more than anything right now. Rocky Bernard has been playing well in spot duty, but I think he should be released after this year and Linval should move up the depth chart.

Kiwi and Osi is just tough. The neck injury is a big question mark for Kiwi but as much as I'm loving the way Osi is playing - it seems pretty clear he's going to need further surgery to fix his knees and he's not going to get out of that hip surgery either. If the neck is healthy and not career threatening, I'd prefer Kiwi. He's younger and has more upside but he needs to stay healthy.

We haven't even mentioned that Steve Smith is also due for a contract extension among others...

I would love that.
Agreed. I wanted it to happen in 2008 but alas...

I hope it doesnt happen. I like Giants-Age. I would hate to see my team destroy your hopes and dreams (and let's he honest this is the only conceivable outcome when the giants meet an AFC North team in the Superbowl).

Well, I don't know. Are the refs going to play for your team this time, too?

Refs? Damn you people think small. Steelers Nation has the President of the United States on our side.

Well, that explains why the Rapist is still free and throwing 4th quarter interceptions for you guys. But that doesn't explain how you're going to win the Super Bowl.

I like Steelers-Age also. However, the only hope and dream is that if the game would happen, your "messiah" will take 5 sacks and throw for 4 interceptions like he did the last time the two teams met.;)

EDIT: By the way, if anyone wanted more reasoning for why the Titans put in the claim for Moss, Kenny Britt may be out 6-8 weeks.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...-miss-as-many-as-68-weeks?module=HP_headlines

Titan Insider, citing a league source, reported late Wednesday that Britt might miss as many as six to eight weeks with the injury. That also might have played a role in the Titans' decision to make a waiver claim for Randy Moss, whom they were awarded.

Not fair bringing up 2008! Our offensive line was new back then and they didn't know they were allowed to actually put their hands on defenders, instead they tried to block them with positive thinking. If you couldn't sack Ben 10+ in the first half of that season you really shouldn't be bragging about your defense.

The line didn't become even average until Ben exploded on them during the Jags game.
