You'd probably be seeing more Havner special team tackles.Elfforkusu said:Awesome. Hopefully he can get healthy and come back home. I want to see more Havner TD catches!
Jonathan Joseph was out against the Falcons, but he's expected back this week.Dirtbag said:What you guys think,

I just keep picturing how Matt Ryan murdered the bengals secondary, even though its divisional for the Steelers.

He's going to be our #2 Receiver (either 2 or 3) against a weak Dallas secondary.sf2fanatic said:Hey Packer fans, what u think of Nelson? Need to fill a WR for this week only and he could be an option? Any help or info on him? Its him or take chances on either Parrish or Cotchery.

If our offense starts playing anywhere near what they're capable, he should have a pretty big day.
The NFL has fined Philadelphia Eagles LB Ernie Sims $50,000 for an illegal hit levied in a game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.
Sims is the first player disciplined since the league vowed to increase the punishments doled out for violations of the NFL's policy against illegal hits.
"Specifically, on a pass play, he unnecessarily struck his opponent, a defenseless receiver, in the head and neck area with his forearm," NFL spokesman Jon Zimmer told PFT.
The hit in question was on Titans WR Lavelle Hawkins, the AP reported.
NFL VP of football operations Ray Anderson said two weeks ago that the league would aggressively discipline illegal hits going forward, including with potential suspensions even for first-time violators.
jakncoke said:So league was just kidding about suspensions? And whats up with waiting so long to fine him?
the thumbtacks played the eagles two weeks ago...levious said:they didn't say it would be automatic, they announced the fine on wednesday, which is when they typically review or finish reviewing these things.

So bench him because he balled out against you?LiveWire said:Hillis. Fuck Matt Forte, that douche cost me first place in my big money league, and he wasn't even on my team!!!

Matt Forte vs. Buffalo?

That's what I'm worried about. Osi is having a great season, and by years end, if he continues his great production, he will want more money. With Kiwi out for the season and also a FA, it's a big decision the Giants will have to do. I know the Giants value ends highly, so having one of them along with Tuck and JPP will definitely be needed. I see them drafting another DE sometime next draft, too.Futurevoid said:Osi Umenyoira has been nominated as the NFC Defensive Player of the Month w/ 18 tackles (10 solo), incl 7.0 sacks and 6 forced fumbles according to Giants PR guy Pat Hanlon.
Gotta love those contract years...

Yep. Both he and Canty are the reason Linval Joseph hasn't been dressed for most games this season. I don't think the Giants as an organization expected either to be playing at the level they are though more specifically Cofield (hence the trade attempt to the Saints). With Osi likely wanting more money, Kiwi being a free agent and having to resign Cofield - there's some serious decision making that needs to be done.Striker said:it's going to be damn tough to re-sign Barry Cofield. Great season and may get Pro Bowl/All Pro honors if he remains healthy.
Agreed. I wanted it to happen in 2008 but alas...DeaconKnowledge said:I would love that.
I hope it doesnt happen. I like Giants-Age. I would hate to see my team destroy your hopes and dreams (and let's he honest this is the only conceivable outcome when the giants meet an AFC North team in the Superbowl).Futurevoid said:Osi Umenyoira has been nominated as the NFC Defensive Player of the Month w/ 18 tackles (10 solo), incl 7.0 sacks and 6 forced fumbles according to Giants PR guy Pat Hanlon.

I like Steelers-Age also. However, the only hope and dream is that if the game would happen, your "messiah" will take 5 sacks and throw for 4 interceptions like he did the last time the two teams met.bionic77 said:I would hate to see my team destroy your hopes and dreams
Titan Insider, citing a league source, reported late Wednesday that Britt might miss as many as six to eight weeks with the injury. That also might have played a role in the Titans' decision to make a waiver claim for Randy Moss, whom they were awarded.
Not fair bringing up 2008! Our offensive line was new back then and they didn't know they were allowed to actually put their hands on defenders, instead they tried to block them with positive thinking. If you couldn't sack Ben 10+ in the first half of that season you really shouldn't be bragging about your defense.Futurevoid said:I like Steelers-Age also. EDIT: By the way, if anyone wanted more reasoning for why the Titans put in the claim for Moss, Kenny Britt may be out 6-8 weeks.
