NFL Week 9 2010|OT| - Did we step into a time warp?

Rest of the year for the Titans are the Dolpihns, the Skins, the Jags, the Chiefs, and both the Colts & Texans twice.

Serious question, can Vince Young throw a football 50+ yards? It's not like Moss is going to run an out route this season.

I'm on this train forever. As for the game--I'm wary of Detroit. They play hard and can score but our pass D has finally been playing well again and Rex will have the offense on point. Should be a good game but we pull it out. Looking forward to seeing Suh for the first time as well.
 
Honestly Moss to the Titans is a smart move with Britt and Gage both injured. Gage *might* be back after the bye (and we're still not sure on Britt's status) so it'll be nice to have another WR. Nate Washington is fairly inconsistent and not very reliable. Either way, with VY being hurt (I doubt he'll be ready for the Dolphins and he's proving to be very injury prone---and injury prone to his key asset....his legs). Kerry Collins is looking to be the key QB for the Titans in the run to the playoffs and I feel he's a better fit for Moss as a pocket passer. The Titans O-Line isn't the best, but they have been modestly improving throughout the season (feel bad for them having so many QB changes). While I don't think Collins can consistently lead the team for victory, I think the Collins-Moss match can work out in the Titans favor. I'm hopeful Fisher can keep Moss' ego in check, but I'm not sold on it. He couldn't even keep CJ in check during the offseason so how is he going to handle a record-setting WR that's played with two QBs that are 10x better than Young/Collins? Other than the "this is your last shot to make an impact in the league" angle, I'm not sure what else he can do. Heimerdinger isn't going to tailor the offense to Moss and I'm not sure Moss cares about his final years given his accomplishments.
 
No news on Hart yet, but not looking good, at least for Sunday. Brown was pulled because they evidently had a certain amount of time they wanted him to play, since he was coming off an injury.

Running back Donald Brown didn't return to the game after Mike Hart suffered a fourth-quarter ankle or foot injury, but it wasn't because Brown was injured. Brown was coming off a hamstring injury that caused him to miss three games. The Colts had his level of activity scripted, and stuck with it.

Hart looked a lot better than Brown, but that doesn't factor how shitty the line played with Brown in.

On the other hand, the offensive line had another solid run blocking game. On many of Mike Hart’s big runs he had two or three blockers sealing a lane, giving him enough open field to pick his routes, make some defenders miss, and have the best running game of his career. For some reason, though, the offensive line failed to provide similar blocking for Donald Brown.

At the end of the first quarter Donald Brown was highly active in the offense. On the first play Brown ran for one yard, Jeff Saturday did not block well. On the second play he ran for three yards, two Houston defenders came free to hit him in the second level, where there was no blocking. On the fourth play Brown loses a yard when Charlie Johnson misses another block, falls down, and allows his man to run free with Brown to the right side, cutting off any cutback lane. The next play Brown catches a Manning pass for three yards and is hit immediately by Kareem Jackson, who was unblocked by anyone in the secondary and had a free shot.

Brown returns to the field on the next offensive drive, now in the second quarter, and comes in for Mike Hart only to have Charlie Johnson miss a block and end up standing right in front of him, when there would have otherwise been a nice running lane for a solid gain. On the next offensive series Brown loses a yard on first-and-10 when Gijon Robinson completely whiffs trying to block Mario Williams, who comes free right into Brown’s face shortly after he takes the hand-off. Later in the drive, with better blocking, Brown makes a 10 yard reception and a 3 yard run for a first down on 4th and 1.

Feel bad for the guy. Coming off an injury and he looked completely lost in the offense, getting hit in the backfield or at the line. Meanwhile Hart is just breezing into the Texans secondary :lol

Well one thing's for sure there's plenty of room for a good football team in Dallas. Maybe the NFL can put an expansion team in there.

At the very least follow the precedent of the London game and schedule a matchup there once a year. I hear that stadium is quite nice.

Dude, I know. Rich Incognito can't run block and Pat McQuiston also sucked, I'm glad Jerry is back.

It hasn't been a problem for years though Ronnie was blowing up before he got hurt and Ricky had a 1,000.

Edit - Another thing to blow your mind. Remember when Incognito was a nutcase and a liability? I can't even rember the last penelty he had let alone a personal foul.

He goes to dinner with Parcells and Sparano once . I can't imagine what they said to him. Maybe its proof Sparano is in control.
 
At the very, very least, luckily for Randy, Tennessee likely has better barbecue than Minnesota.

Also, 9-7 while feasible for the Titans it'll be difficult. Every single one of the games they have left to play are going to be very competitive. Jacksonville is clearly the easiest in my mind but I wouldn't call it an auto-win.

Edit: What's the deal with Spencer Havner coming back to the Packers?

you're right. Collins kept Moss so happy in Oakland.

With Driver potentially injured and James Jones catching the ball like a fuckweasel, Havner isn't a bad move. They wanted him on the Practice Squad anyway.
