So they cancelled orders, and then delivered them to others for free? Awesome.

Yeah I don't get it. It was pending charge since launch and today it disappeared and I have more money than I did since the charge o_O like 100 more. It didnt refund the tax though

"X - Package has been stolen from front porch and sold on eBay for 399.99"

I'm doubting any of those stay free after a few more business days pass. It's probably just moving from pending charge to cleared charge, disappearing from their transaction list in the meantime.

What persuaded me not to get "Persona 4 the Animation" is that there's no Japanese VO/English subtitles on the Blu-ray release, only English VO. The Japanese track [with English subtitles] is only available in the DVD version, and I sure as hell wasn't going to buy a DVD when I have a Blu-ray player. ~_~

You know how the North American version has the same language options as the European one. Could it be possible that they only made one build and just published that for the rest of the world?
If so, it would be highly likely that DLC would work regardless which version you bought; you could have Golden Hurly on your EU version from activating it on a US PSN account, or Draggle in the opposite scenario.
This is still yet to be confirmed until people start receiving their EU copies so this is all conjecture, but here's hoping.

My UPS guy is so nice, that he knock, open the door, put the package INSIDE MY HOUSE, say Hi, and then leave.
Love that guy. But I get so many package that I may get a UPS Metal Container soon.

I think the product codes still differ in this case (same game code on the disc but different product codes so different metadata on the pressed disc) so the DLC would not work. I guess we'll see, though.

I still don't know why they can't strike a deal with Barnes & Noble or something to sell the Wizard book separately. I'd probably pay $40 for that.

Checked back a few pages, maybe I missed this? Namco's response.

http://www.destructoid.com/namco-bandai-responds-to-ni-no-kuni-le-order-bungling-243211.phtml

NAMCO BANDAI Games America would first like to acknowledge our fans that will not be receiving their copy of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition. This situation is truly unfortunate, having come about due to a glitch within our E-commerce provider’s ordering system. NAMCO BANDAI Games America continues to monitor the situation and is actively working with our E-commerce provider to offer remedies to each and every order. We are also working to ensure that a situation like this never happens again. We respectfully ask for our fans’ patience during this time.

NAMCO BANDAI Games America is not, nor has it ever, worked with or in conjunction with the eBay seller known as “PlayCanada” to sell units of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition at a price premium on eBay .

According to our records, this individual or group of individuals purchased Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition during the NinoStarter promotion period (August 2012); at which time, no limits were placed on how many units an individual could order.

PlayCanada’s claims that they officially worked with NAMCO BANDAI Games America to obtain their stock is entirely false.

We understand the $20 clubNamco voucher that has been offered to our affected fans may give little solace in place of an actual Wizard’s Edition package. It is unfortunate that we are unable to produce additional Wizard’s Edition units to fulfill all the extra orders; with that in mind, NAMCO BANDAI Games America will be giving the affected fans a 400 page hard bound copy of the Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch strategy guide which includes an exclusive code to unlock a Gold Hurly Familiar in the game in addition to the original $20 clubNamco voucher. Our E-commerce provider will be contacting the affected customers in the coming days with instructions on how to obtain their copy of the Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch strategy guide. We hope that this can give the affected consumers some comfort; NAMCO BANDAI truly does value and care about its fans.

Well, that's pretty awesome to see.

Actually, wasn't this the same that happened with MvC3's LE? Well, I guess in this case the guide's even more valuable.

I want to bet now they'll somehow screw a majority of people out of this as well since it seems we'll still be dealing with their "E-commerce provider" aka Digital River.

YAY PESSIMISM~

Edit: I still want a coin...

Double Edit: It's also been confirmed the guide's DLC code won't work with the EU versions of the game either, right? So it's worthless to those who still want to get the Wizard's Edition.

Triple Edit: I wonder how many people already bought the guide as well.

Sarcasm Edit: Who even uses strategy guides anymore? This is worse than them doing nothing.

Differing product codes didn't stop Asian versions of games from being compatible with DLC from either US or Japanese PSN stores. For example, the Asian FFXIII-2 English dubbed version is compatible with DLC from the US store as well as from the Asian stores.

Well they did, you can use the 20$ voucher on the game, and get the guide free. Which give you the game and guide for 40$.

The game was out of stock on the store yesterday and I can't even find it on there now.

Plus if you lose your coupon apparently there's no way to get it again.

Plus shipping. I bet they'll charge shipping for the guide~

Nice to see the official response, a $40 guidebook free plus $20 off the game [or anything else NB is selling] seems alright...just hope DR doesn't f it up the second time. Since I managed to avoid the DR retardation on my order I gotta go buy the guidebook myself :B

*edit* oh fail, the NB store is sold out of the regular Ni no Kuni game? -_-;
