I can't comprehend there not being some sort of video feature that'll become available post-update. Niconico hasn't had a major update to their website in almost a year as well, and my guess is they're going to start accepting 3D video uploads. Just a Miku 3DS game from Sega sounds like too little to offer to bother with the oft anti-Nintendo adolescents that are in niconico.

Ahh I hate waiting for things. Gonna MCAT study until 11pm tonight. That's a good 6 hours of productivity until I can (hopefully) see some 3DLand goodness. Hopefully at TGS they show off Dream Drop Distance's new trailer. I'm looking forward to a Luigi's Mansion new trailer but I won't hold my breath. Is the count down correct? Atm it says there are 6.5 hours left which would make it 6am for me. The TGS thread on the other hand has it listed as 3:00am GMT. I'm on GMT + 2 so that makes it 5 am. I'm shocked by the predictions. Some of you idealists really have not learned.

Suppose I'll chime in with my realistic predictions:


1. Monster Hunter Tri G + Analog Attachment. Nintendo clarifies the attachment is an optional attachment, and will be available next year in NA with Kid Icarus, Monster Hunter, Luigi's Mansion 2. Analog Attachment is 20 bucks or cheaper.

2. Zelda: Four Swords made available. No online, just a port on dsi.

3. Nintendo talks about demos, streetpass updates. Coming soon. No mention of of video chat, better messaging, or improved friend options.

4. One new title announced. ONE. It will leave make half of GAF disappointed, the other half cautiously optimistic. I'd put my money on the Yoshi rumor.

These are probably the most Realistic predictions unfortunately. We Nintendo fans are suckers for punishing ourselves with high expectations.

Why? Even if Nintendo were to make a 2D Yoshi game, they have far more talented 2D artists and game makers than Vanillaware(not that I dont like their games).

I think it will be fried bacon or whatever his name is. I can't recall his name, but it was something like that. Anyways, he seems highly critical of Nintendo to the point where it is beyond hyperbole. He should spout something bannable before the conference.

Solid predictions - I want the bolded more than anything else on there. But I agree with its position halfway down your list

I think an Other M 2 could be great if Sakamoto and Team Ninja knew where to focus their energies. Unfortunately I don't have faith that would happen based on their last collaboration, where polite intentions and mutual respect between teams seem to have compromised effective direction. It's a shame because when Other M would hit its stride a lot of the core mechanics were actually pretty good. For all its faults I thought it was a much better representation of Samus in all her acrobatic glory than the Prime games. Take away the woefully misguided emphasis on a half baked story and shitty hand holding and I think there's real potential there.

Reggie did promise them by the end of the year, so I'd actually say that's one of the more likely announcements for this conference. Certainly more so than any improvements to the Friends List app, sadly.

Well on the bright side when this inevitably is a disappointment i.e no advance wars 3ds or majoras mask 3d, I will still have TGS and the PW X Layton conference.

Basically my take on this. It's nice knowing there's at least one 3DS game that will be getting some nice stage time that I'm looking forward to.

I've given up hope on the AA5 rumor, though. Just doesn't feel right.
