Oh shit, didn't expect NintendoLand to come in an actual box case.
IGN Wii U unboxing video will go up.

Does Miiverse and message boards and stuff extend to Virtual Console games? A home page like New Super Mario Bros U has but for all the classic games too? That would be awesome, having a place to talk about classic favorites with others that play them too.
Even if thats not there, everything they showed off on the Japan Nintendo Direct is perfect. I love everything Nintendo is doing. Too bad NoA can't show it off as well at all.
Has Nintendo said anything on Virtual Console games working with Miiverse?
"pretty straightforward"

nice that the deluxe includes a real nintendo land case
enjoy all the fingerprints, though
-base set master race
But that doesn't work with the original Wii; if you port a VC or WiiWare title bought on Wii A to an SD card, and then put the SD card in Wii B, Wii B will refuse to boot the game up because the games are tied to Wii A. There has to be some kind of license transfer as well. They actually covered this in the ND lol. You use an SD card to transfer the data.
what is this from? lol
this is a great gif
so the dragon quest 9 voucher is for the us also?
Oh shit, didn't expect NintendoLand to come in an actual box case.
They're keeping "WaraWara Plaza" for English eh?
No.can Nintendo Network IDs be used on multiple consoles? What about users?
Yes.Or will Nintendo be continuing the "manual transfer" process, where as long as you have two consoles, you can do a transfer process, but if your console is stolen or lost, no dice or you have to deal with Nintendo.
No pro controller for NSMBU.
No.
Yes.
(Note I have nothing official to base this on other than assumptions drawn by the lack of Nintendo saying anything to contradict this notion, regardless of what the "we were promised universal accounts" crowd is convinced they heard from one random rep months ago.)
Then why answer if you have no idea? There isn't anything to say it doesn't support it either. Maybe IGN or some media outlet can test it closer to launch.

My mistake. Nintendo is certainly planning to have multi-system accounts. There is every indication of it. The 3DS shows NCL's zeal for this.
Cough, cough cough.
If Nintendo were going to allow that, we'd have heard something by now. It's safer to assume it isn't coming than that is is, given the complete lack of evidence for the latter.
Did you actually watch today's Nintendo Direct? Iwata directly said that the Nintendo Network ID will be usable on other Nintendo consoles, services and also on PCs and smartphones.
Oh shit, didn't expect NintendoLand to come in an actual box case.
Indeed.
Show me where it says that Nintendo Network ID means "download and play all your software purchases."
(Unless, of course, you're claiming that this means that all Wii U games will be playable on every device the Nintendo Network ID works on... I can't wait to play all those new Wii U games on my smartphone and computer! Cough.)
I didn't, but I see how it could be read that way -- I was referring to the mantra of "Nintendo promised universal accounts with multi-system downloads" which has been repeated endlessly for months even though there has never been any evidence for it.You denied that the Network ID will be usable on other consoles, that's what I'm replying to.
Anything is possible. I'm just saying there has yet to be confirmation of downloading software to more than a single unit, and I'm highly skeptical that will be the case.I'd say that being able to use your Nintendo Network ID on other platforms implies that it can be used on another WiiU as well. I really don't see why anyone would think that it wouldn't be possible.

Indeed -- I'm assuming a 3DS-style system transfer. Now that's something else entirely. I seriously doubt it will be as easy as setting up your NNID (or however it's supposed to be abbreviated) and you're good to go. You'll most likely have to transfer your stuff to the new console, or at least deactivate the old one before you can use your content on the new WiiU.

However, the primary clamoring for "accounts" has always seemed to be linked to a notion of "universal downloads", from what I've seen. Every other working aspect is functionally present on the 3DS in one way or another, aside from 2 step friend authorization.
I'd say that it's more comforting knowing that your eShop purchases are tied to an account rather than a system. Especially for those who live in a country where Club Nintendo doesn't exist.
Although they've always been tied to an account, even if the user couldn't see it. Nintendo servers assign licenses based on the hardware/software key and keep a record of all purchases. Old software wasn't tied to the hardware, but locked to the shop account registered to the system.I'd say that it's more comforting knowing that your eShop purchases are tied to an account rather than a system. And in instances of damaged/lost hardware.
Wait. The press have systems and manuals. Parts of manuals are being leaked. Wouldn't the manuals mention the process for transferring account software between systems?
