Also, imho, Nintendo missed an opportunity to make a NieR/near pun in the headline
As a Euro Switch owner, Switch has been the best platform for jRPG's for quite some time now. Even if it's just because everything actually releases here nowadays.
Most notable RPG's for SNES, PSX and even a lot of games for PS2 and NGC simply never released here. SNES especially had only a handful of jRPG's released here. I remember Secret of Mana and Lufia, but not much else.

The suit guy on the middle is from Spy x Family, great stuff. The anime just finished. it's on Netflix
On the right side of the main character is from Slime Life
I'm hoping for World Trigger to be in it

So its honestly more of an art project than a true game so far but I'd rate it 10/10. If you like art and charming stuff you'll love it. Just the tutorial has more care and layering of design than most games I've played recently. Just tons of funny real life craft items used to tell the story. Tons of pencil sketch artwork. Character portraits that are real photos of clay models he made lol. Just going way over the top on effort for art. But you mostly just click along and watch. But you'll click a tiny piece of something and find its a whole flip book with 20 unique illustrations. Its just over the top. Literally one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.

What you describe sounds like a light, very comfy experience which I'm sure I'll really like. So yeah, definetly keeping an eye on this and will play for sure once it arrives on Steam or on the Switch if the port is good.
