Port of a mobile phone JRPG.
This looks like it might be a decent budget title: Legend of Dark Witch!

Oh, thanks for the heads up! That's a decent deal.I don't think it was mentioned here, but if you need some eShop funds, starting on 8/3, Target is doing a deal where if you buy one gaming card (eShop, PSN, Xbox Live, etc.), then you get the 2nd one 25% off. So if you got two $10 cards, it'd total $17.50 for $20 worth, or two $20 cards would equal $35.
Nintendo Enthusiast made a video talking about ZaciSa´s Last Stand, which is the game made by fellow gaffer Gulatica. Says good things about it

I like this kid from Nintendo Enthusiast. He´s pretty and dosent have an annoying voice, which is a rare quality among people who makes youtube videos about videogames...

It's a Kemco game, and those are actually pretty decent.

YMMV on that, as I tried using those on eShop cards since I want to get some funds for the upcoming Capcom VC titles, but the person at the counter said "they used to, but the manager won't let them now". He said it might differ depending who's running the cashier, but when I tried again, it was the same guy. I'm gonna see if I can grab another one & try it again at a different location since I'll be out of town for the weekend. Not sure if it was mentioned, but the kongregate gamestop coupon works on eshop cards, I have bought 8 or so 10 dollar cards for 5 each and will probably buy another 5-10 before it ends.

That said, they do look a little cheap and are a tad bit generic, but they are actually fun budget games.
Next week on Japan eShop

Works fine for me (obv in offscreen play inventory takes up whole of gamepad screen when you enter inventory). You touch the screen to open it and can set items to sets of buttons.
So you have L+y, L+b, L+x, L+a, then R+ all those, and also L+R plus y,b,x,a. So I keep melee weapons assigned to L+ybxa, projectiles like ice rod, bow to R+ybxa, and potions, teleports scroll are on the L+R slots.
Hopefully that makes sense. For example, say you open the inventory and assign a spear to R+x. In gameplay, hold the R bumper and press x to get your spear out, then without any bumpers pressed, ybxa are just your regular actions (attack, jump etc.)
That sucks, hope when I go back tomorrow they still let me
Not all are. My criteria for listing was only games that previously got a western release, either on the original hardware or as a VC import.Whoa, quite a list. So, sörine, except for the GBA games you listed, are all of the others already on Wii VC?
Keep in mind Konami charges more for upgrading their PCE games (about $3). I'd pay it though. That is so sad, Nintendo of America alone can fix a ton of that. Not sure if it is worth it for 3rd parties to reup for the WiiU here in the states. It kind of seems like they missed their window with the droughts we had last year and this year. We are headed in to some decent releases this fall that will take away money from what would have been otherwise good VC releases
That being said if Konami would release the TG16 games I would pay the upgrade fee for almost every single one of them
I'm one of those Nintendo whales who buys both.To be fair, that list includes 13 games under the Wii U which are also listed under the 3DS.
So, unless one is going to buy both versions of the game (since lolnocrossbuy), that makes the number of unique games a bit less.
But, yes, we definitely have a significant amount of catching up to do.
And, as you said, a significant amount of ire that should be directed toward Konami as well (hey Konami, where's our TurboGrafx 16 support here in the US!)
Is that the official name for people who double dip on VC games across 3DS & Wii U in this lowly no-crossbuy era?sörine;123358562 said:Nintendo whales
I actually enjoy all the VC bitching. I just wish there was a way to direct it to Nintendo... directly. I do my part on every Club Nintendo survey.I really miss the old eshop games thread! I'm not that interested in VC and it's quite difficult to skip through VC discussions and wars and continuous complains on what could have been and it's not.

Hmm we could find a solution without a thread by creating a google doc (linked in the op) with released, upcoming and recommended games.I'd be glad to revitalize my old thread about eshop games...
I hope GulAtiCa finds some time to update that thread. I'll bump it tomorrow with Megaman Battle Network coming out, even though we have an OT for it.There's also still a Wii U VC thread which can be used for VC discussion.
That's be awesome. A lot more happening with eShop originals than on VC.I'd be glad to revitalize my old thread about eshop games...

So I just found out about The Fall thanks to Giantbombs quick look. http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/quick-look-the-fall/2300-9225/
I need it. Apparently it was submitted to nitnendo at the start of July. I need this
I would disagree with that, actually. I don't have a couple of lists in front of me but I would bet on Wii U we're actually ahead of where the Wii Virtual Console was at the same point in that console's lifetime -- if we're excluding stuff from Konami (including Hudson). I really think they're the big difference, although Square-Enix sure could wake up and do something already.
Affordable Space Adventures will be at Gamescom, I'm really looking forward to see it live. I'm confused about the release date now, as on their site and on Nintendo site it's still Fall 2014, while on indiemegabooth site is Q1 2015.
I'd be surprised if it came out this year. The lady demoing it at E3 corrected the Treehouse rep when they said it was coming out this year.
I did some easy tests on friendly. A non friendly Pancham was doing 10 damage in a basic match 3 attack. When friendly it did 15 which I think is the same a 5* attack Pokemon would do (I should have checked). It also did this increased damage when you did not bring it as a partner. That bit is an added benefit to friendliness I guess.Played a bit of Pokemon Link Battle.
...
*-Apparently they become friendly really quickly though...what does friendly do? Some think it is +4 stars of power as but there is no bloody proof and the game is useless at telling you exactly what the difference between 1 and 5 stars of attack is. Maybe some Japanese wiki has figured it out...Edit: Japanese wiki kind of figured it out no idea of friendship but 5* is a coefficient of 15 vs. coefficient of 10 for 1* (basically 5* is 50% stronger which isn't as big as you would expect...).
What do you think about a new thread name tomorrow? Suggestions are welcome
