Come to think of it, what is the size limit on DSi games?

Judging from the fact that DSiWare games use the same 8 blocks = 1 MB sizing as the Wii, the current max appears to be 16 MB (128 blocks). We've seen a few titles come close already, but not quite reach that.

Just picked up Contra Rebirth, it's a first class purchase drawing teas of dorky joy.

*over the top opening cut scene and story.
*impossibly cool battle scenarios.
*you can shoot from every direction but your ass.
*filled to the brim with enemies.

There's a lot of old school luv'n here :)

Wakugumi is awesome but it did not click with me right now so I'm all kinds of bad :( It was the same with chokan hitufude on release. I could not get a C rank there ever :D

Just bought it myself, I didn't have a clue what I was doing at first :p But it's pretty simple once you 'click' with it. Honestly it feels like another Art Style game in all but name, which is no bad thing!

Does anyone here play Dragon Quest Wars much by the way?

I'm still puzzling over when we'll get the next Monkey Island episode...

I could see Castlevania and Zombies Ate My Neighbors next week, though.

Oct. 19, 2009

Eight is great for gamers this week as Nintendo adds eight new titles to its ever-growing library of downloadable games. First on the list is LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, a follow-up to one of the most popular releases on the WiiWare™ service. Next, Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem makes survival of the fittest the law of the land. Meanwhile, Nintendo DSiWare™ welcomes Domo™, a strange creature who hatched from an egg. Also known as the popular mascot of Japan's NHK television station, Domo stars in five separate new Nintendo DSiWare games. Topping it off is RYGAR™, a 1980s arcade gem making its Virtual Console™ debut.

An evil adversary binds the fate of Toku's mother, Magdi, and the ancient Melodia civilization. To save Magdi, Toku and Enril must face new foes, enlist friends old and new, and wield incredible new powers - including the ability to switch the very seasons themselves - as they explore the diverse, richly interactive Chilling Peaks and Melodia City areas of the magical land of Mistralis. VideoMan... do you lurk in this thread every Monday morning, new post open and ready to go, waiting to slap in the Press Release the moment it appears?

Ok, thanks.

I think I’ll wait for the NES version. Prefer the Metroidvania type set up more.

Unless the arcade version is that good? I’ve never played it.

You're just mad because I beat you to it.

OP updated. Any footage of the Domo games? I remember they sounded promising when they were revealed (or at least stuck on the release list) at E3, but I haven't seen anything else since then...

FYI, you cannot continue during the last few stages of the arcade version and the game is hard. Just something to consider.

yea, it's pretty easy at the beginning but that thing gets hard later on.
get the NES version instead as it's far superior to the arcade version(exept graphics of course).

Ok, most likely will pass then. Have enough games to keep me busy. Will probably just wait for the NES version.

Thanks.

Wow, all at once? That's more than will fit on the Recommended Titles screen :lol

I wonder if this means Nintendo is feeling a bit more confident about DSiWare output going forward.

Screenshots of the Domo games from today's press update. Sorry they're not inline, but not everyone wants to see them, and I don't really have time to tinypic them right now anyway (we have hotlink protection...)

Yeah just go ahead and wait for Rygar NES. In the interim you could always grab Rygar PS2 or at least listen to that game's soundtrack. Holy carp it's amazing.

We don't know why he keeps buying PAL, either.

And now Australia is left Lost Windless.

i am pretty tempted to get all of the Domo games..anyone getting any of them? I will probably just get one to see how it is..and go from there.

Holy crap @ all 5 Domo games getting released at once, that's more like it NOA! (Didn't they get bad impressions from their JPN releases though?)

Shame about the one VC game release again, especially since I'm not interested in Rygar but LostWinds is a sure buy for me!

Will wait for impressions on the Hudson Wii Ware game.

Oh as a side note, Pinball Pulse The Ancients kicks arse. If you like Pinball, it's a must buy! :D

I plan to grab them all. Need to clean out the mini-fridge though.

I'm curious who developed them, Nintendo's publishing...

(thanks)

the game was released on the GBA where Domo got sucked into the tv and was a part of different shows. They broke up the different games into 200 point downloads.

I guess the silver lining is no one seems to have played it.
