Looks cool but A; I'm EU (Fucking region lock) and I bought Pinball
Fantasies PSP Mini last week!

Oh, ha, I assumed you were N.A. because you were posting just now...

I might get this. Though I am backlogged pretty hardcore on the DSi already...

Final Fight 2 is enjoyable, but Final Fight 3 is the best beat-em-up of all time. Now there's at least hope!

You must live in a horrifying alternate universe where Streets Of Rage 2 was never released. I feel for you.

i was playing BATTLETOADS BATTLEMANIACS yesterday, which is a pretty awful beat 'em up. i don't know why i got the urge to play freakin' battletoads, but i did, and i don't recommend anyone else following up on that mysterious urge in the future.

Final Fight 3 >>>>>>>>>> Streets of Rage 2.

In every category. It's not even a contest imo

I do love video pinball! So sign me up for this one.

However, this has also reminded me that Nintendo now needs to do a dual screen port/sequel of GBA Pokemon Pinball for DSi. I think I liked that even more than MPP, and I loved MPP.

Also, I'm in for Final Fight 2. They do need to get 3 out here.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree!

Will we fuck. Re-education camp for you. Every category? Even the 'Has a soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro' category? Bollocks.

So, "better in every category" means "less moves, shittier characters and shittier music" ? ok.

EDIT: Also, fucking Cave Story will NEVER get released I guess. I thought i'd play that before 2026.

.

i just gave up and ran a vga cable to my tv so i could play CAVE STORY. i'll buy it on wiiware when it gets released, but i've emotionally removed myself from this little game that they're playing with my heart.

Is that region changer thingy that was released a while ago any more stable these days? I really don't want to wait until Winter to buy Lost Winds 2.

I like how the US gets all of 3 releases this period, whereas Europe gets 6, and Japan gets freakin' 9.

There is no justice in this universe.

Alright...

Less moves? SoR2 has standard moves and 2 specials per character. FF3 has a standard move set, specials, and then button combo specials. Music? I actively dislike most Genesis music so SoR2 is no exception. I personally think it's annoying, but then again, most music on the Genesis is. FF3's music on the other hand is awesome. Shittier characters? That's for the player to decide. I personally like the design of the characters better. I also like their move set's more. The only one that is "...meh" is Dean. Haggar and Lucia are all pretty well-rounded. Guy is a machine.

FF3 also has a better "look", better visuals, cleaner animations, multiple pathways through a level and is just a blast to play. So yeah, I'd say it trumps SoR2 in just about every way. All my opinion mind you - some of you need to calm down.

EDIT: SoR2 had 4 characters, too. My mistake.

What do you mean? Japan's going on 3 weeks without a Wiiware release and Europe has actually been playing catch-up since they have fewer release in each category of download games.

Japan will always win with heavier VC support.

I counted the games highlighted in red in the OP as the games released this week in all regions. Did I misunderstand?

How do you know? It's not live for six minutes yet.

Dunno about you, but powered on my DSi and it was there bout 10 mins ago...

FYI, this is done by the same team that did Metroid Pinball, Fuse.

Have faith, good sir...!

Hasn't been functional since October 23rd 2008
Unless you want to lose all your Wii Shop purchases!

I guess in pure number of releases no. The content itself is all over the board though, everyone is lacking somewhere.

I'd love some impressions of the pinball game. My wife left for the day and took my DSi and left me with her dead DS Lite.

Good stuff. Plenty of modes and bonus rounds. Busy but not crowded playfield and good effects. Physics are very solid as well...hardly any framerate drop on massive multis or strobing.

Oh yes....LOTS of strobing!

Overall, GREAT game if you're a pinhead. If ya dig Met: Pinball...then this'll be just as good for ya.

Look forward to more boards if Fuse decide to keep at doing these.

I was sort of wondering if the subtitle thing meant they would be. Nintendo seems keen on DSiWare serial games.

Well, maybe I'll give it a spin after I finish Layton.

...and clear out some space again.

Can we have confirmation on this? This may determine whether or not its a buy!

Also is it Fuse on a good day (Metroid Prime Pinball) or on a bad day (Super Mario Ball)

I'm beginning to think I'm the only person on the planet who liked Mario Pinball Land (for what it was, mind—as in not a "pure" pinball experience...)

For all you Pinheads out there:

Pinball Pulse: Ancients = badassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...!!
Yep, Fuse delivers. It's a great table.

I botched the Daily Game, but on the regular mode I got 4.7M on one credit right afterward. :D

EDIT: 79 blocks if anyone needs to know.

Don't know if is allowed to promote your own games, but wanted to give you guys a heads up, our WiiWare title called Heron: Steam Machine is launching this Friday for Euro gamers :-) USA will follow pretty soon.

If you like to see a movie and screenshots of the game, you can visit heronsteammachine.com!

That's impressive!

If I had only one gripe, it's a fairly easy board to nail the physics. Wish there was a way to randomize the tilt functions of the field....much like VPinball.

You've got some climbing to do muh man...14.4m right now is my high and climbing!! :D

Wish it had some wi-fi to post/challenge scores.

Fuse.....MORE PINS PLZ!!!

You know I just read on their forums and it's probably not coming in October, and that's is the last straw, I've had the game on my PC for like 9 months and haven't played it for waiting for the Wiiware version, fuck it.... I just don't understand how it's taking so long, there's little reason to even buy it now!

SEGA should put The Pinball of the Dead on DSiWare or an Overkill-themed sequel.

Oh I like that...

Or hell, just do a HOTD:Overkill Pin...straight away. That would look nice in my arcade.

I didn't study the question, I mainly wanted to tease you. You probably know Final Fight 3 more than me though I remember SOR2 having more standard moves. As for the specials, you had co-op moves in SOR2 instead of a third special. Or what is SOR3 ??

.

Do you like anything?

Maybe if you paid attention to the million and three times I've talked about games I like instead of being such a pissant all day everyday you'd have answered your question.

It's just that it's always mired in the 40 million times you talk about shit you hate it gets difficult to determine when you sneak a compliment in.

Don't forget a casual day (Active Health with Carol Vorderman) as well.

I'm pleased that Fuse games did something other than what I said above in the time between now and Metroid Prime Pinball.

I wonder if the people who say FF3 isn't as good as SOR2 have even played the game for any decent amount of time. Final Fight 3 is a very, very good beat-em-up. The combat system is deeper than most brawlers, there are a lot of moves to do and the animation is very fluid. The levels are all pretty varied and have multiple paths which can cause multiple playthroughs to have completely different level trees. The music isn't as good as SOR2's but it's still pretty good, and overall it's a very polished game, probably one of the best brawlers I've played. It'll definitely be worth looking at if it hits the VC.
