Nintendo E3 Schedule Updates

Has Reggie lost a few pounds? His face looks weird.

Please gameplay debut of Bayonetta 2 :(

How dare you mock #Regginator! I'd have you know that his body AND face are ready! Nothing weird about being the sexiest man in the Whole of Nintendo!
Behind Iwata

Could be that he's actually looking forward to this E3. Wasn't he reported to actually be upset or appeared pissed off during last E3 about some things that went on behind the scenes? The reason why Iwata wasn't on stage but actually at E3 but in meetings?

Maybe he was pissed that Retro's game was pulled??

we'll be airing a Nintendo Direct video that focuses on new information about the games you're waiting for.

He doesn't ever mention surprises or new games. Sounds like we shouldn't expect many all-new games in the 7AM Nintendo Direct. We'll see the reveal of games they've mentioned, like Smash and Mario though. I imagine they'll save Retro for a surprise later in the conference, unless the game is having development issues?

The leaps of logic in this post are amazing. So what he didn't say surprise or new games?

Then they wouldn't be surprises!

You're reading too much into a statement written by someone who probably doesn't know what's the content of the direct. Yes there's a possibility of that, but these vague statements won't be any indication of it.

Here's some more Nintendo times for some non-streamed events. All times Eastern on June 11th.

1:30pm - Wii U Software Showcase presentation by Reggie Fils-Aime and Shigeru Miyamoto
2:00pm - Wii U Software Showcase gameplay and Q&A session
3:00pm - E3 doors officially open
9:00pm - Pokemon X/Y Developer Roundtable.

No Iwata detected. Will there be an E3 ND for Japan (presented by Iwata) and Europe (presented by Shibata) as well?

That's a bit reaching. I think it's safe to say they will announce atleast one new game. I would put my money on it.

It may not be the game you hope it is, but there is definitely a new WiiU game announcement brewing. Probably just Wii Sports U with Retro noticeably absent.

Wait Pokemon Direct? I thought it was a roundtable. Is it being livestreamed? I'm missing it either way :(

Pokémon Direct at 11am Wednesday my time. Damn. That's the day I have a meeting with my PhD upervisors. I may be around for the bombs being dropped, but not for the aftermath. =/

11:30pm adelaide, australia. Might pull a sick day, fortunately work doesn't require a doctors certificate for a single day.

Will be loading up on food, drink on saturday. Best diet cheat day ever.

Pretty classy video if you ask me. I liked when he explained why they're not doing a press conference this year. I'm excited to see if this works.

After all the talk last year of "Is E3 even necessary anymore?" I think that this could be in response to that.

Its a 90 minute roundtable. If I understand its closed doors and pictures/pictures are forbidden. I wonder if they Will allow live blogging though.
Worldwide ND, plus Iwata will be at E3. Rich from ign will be interviewing him there.
Are we sure? Iwata said he wasn't going to attend E3 back in April. However, I know he'll still do the worldwide direct and at some point they will likely switch off with Reggie to talk about specific things for NA while Shibata and Iwata talk to their respective region.

Yep this is confirmed, the interview. He is coming.

Listen guys, E3 is here. It's really here. Not three months away. It's in a couple of days. Let's all have an excellent weekend, come back, and bask in the light from Iwata's E3 megatons.

Um, no he didn't. He simply stated he wouldn't be appearing at the events for the press/business partners.

Why the hell won't they live stream everything? God damnit

Some stuff is for press only or is happening at the same time as the direct. The only thing that won't be released, or it may well do like previous developer roundtable discussions, is the pokemon Direct.

Youre correct. It was me misremembering or someone mistranslated it when I read it. Heres the quote that I misremembered:

I did not speak at last year’s presentation, and I am not planning to speak at these events at the E3 show this year either

I'll be on my honeymoon.

My wife loves Nintendo though, I wonder if I can convince her to watch the Direct when it streams.

Congrats! Have fun! My honeymoon was so chill. I loved it. If you guys are the type of vacationers that lounge around instead of planning everything out, you'll have time for sure.

You of all people should know it is NOT a Pokémon Direct.

It is a closed Pokémon X & Y roundtable held at E3. It is not livestreamed. It prohibits having photos/video taken within it. It is not a Pokémon Direct in any sense of the word

Wait....Bulbagarden is on here now???

On topic: Tuesday is really just gonna be Nintendo day. So awesome, they need to bring all the big guns they can. Can't wait!

Yeh, you can't assume anything from some casual talk, especially from Nintendo employees.
Well based on two years of history you can pretty safely assume that they will fail to blow us away. It will be good stuff like the latest 3D Mario but don't expect anything exciting and unknown.

Nintendo have no idea how to excite and interest people beyond giving them what they expect.

Really, the directs have certainly excited the mass of fans. If you;'re talking exclusively E3 2012 and 2011, well 2011 wasn't that even that bad. Why do you ignore anything past 2 years as well, is it that 2010 was a freak appearance?

X was pretty surprising imo, as well as a Yoshi yarn game, although kind of leaked. LTTP2 was unexpected for a type of Zelda game.

If you're talking new IP, then yes I would agree with you there.

Additionally, the bayonetta 2 announcement as well.

Nice, it's 5pm here, so I can watch it live after work. The rest of the stuff not so much as I need to go to sleep at 10pm, but all rest of the goodies will be seen on 12th, so I'm fine with that.

Iwata will be in LA for the entirety of E3, as he is every year, he's just not speaking publicly at the events. He is presenting the Nintendo Direct in all three regions, and obviously he'll be on-hand at E3 all week, as he's booked for a bunch of interviews with IGN, Gamespot, etc.
