I think the possible new Mario game could be the next Mario Golf.

Remember the order?

2003: Toadstool Tour
2004: Power Tennis
2005: Superstar Baseball
2006: Strikers
2007: Strikers Charged
2008: Super Sluggers
2009: Power Tennis NPC
2010: New Mario Golf?

Reversed from last gen, veeeeery interesting.

Galaxy 2 = high. It was practically finished before 2009 finished and Nintendo specifically stated they were not going to release it then in order to give room in the market for NSMB Wii.

Add on another 6 months and the game is well and truly finished, and is the perfect title to fill in the middle of the year.

A bit above zero.

Their holiday release could be Zelda, but it's just as likely to be some stuff they haven't announced yet at all.

I'm really not looking forward to all the people saying "it's too soon, NSMBW came out half a year ago" when they don't realize that a completely different team worked on this for several years.

They should, since a lot of times they've released a handheld and console game in the same year. The best example is 2003 and 2004. When you think about it they must have been working on four games at the same time (actually, probably five since Mario Tennis: Power Tour, which came out in 2005, is compatible with Mario Power Tennis). Amazingly they were all fantastic:

*Golden Sun: The Lost Age and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour in 2003.
*Mario Golf: Advance Tour and Mario Power Tennis in 2004.

I truly believe they'll announce Kirby Wii at E3 2010 and release it during the winter months. Nintendo scored big with Kirby Super Star Ultra in the winter of 2008, and I think that they know that they are able to replicate that game's success.

Looks like my Shop/firmware update prediction is bust. The Shop never went down for maintenance. They could do other things that don't require an update but if they do it's nothing too major.

I've never beaten a Golden Sun. I got pretty deep into the first one a long time ago, but someone broke into my car and stole all of my shit, including my GBA and about 10 games.

Anyone know how the game holds up today? Is it worth looking into picking it or the sequel up in preparation for Golden Sun DS? I've always been really interested in the series.

I play every 2 years through both of them and I think both hold up pretty well. Two of the best RPGs I've played.

I would say if you can find them for a good price, get them. I think they are totally worth playing. I like the first one moreso than the second, but that's just me.

the news is that the game is currently being developed and will be released in 2010

the e3 demo was literally like a 4-6 week tech demo. the game won't be until q3/q4 so it's not likely to be at this meeting. you'll hear more about it when the game is somewhere near done :p

rest of day: gameplay hands-ons

what is happening? dsi xl date, black wii date, q2 software lineup. metroid and galaxy 2 both summer titles, metroid hands on at event.

Realistically you should expect news on Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, Monster Hunter tri, Nintendo DSi XL, and maybe black Wii.

It's going to start in about 2 hours.

Sometime after that the London event will start.
