Gears of War wohl nicht offiziell in Deutschland / Neue Bilder

18.10.06 - Der Shooter Gears of War Click Picture von Epic Games wird allem Anschein nach wohl nicht offiziell in Deutschland ausgeliefert. Das bestätigten Sprecher von mehreren Elektrofachmärkten und Videospiele-Fachgeschäften.

Demnach heißt es, dass Microsoft aufgrund der hohen Gewaltdarstellung (Kettensäge teilt einen Gegner, am Boden liegenden Verwundeten kann der Kopf zertreten werden) von einer Veröffentlichung in Deutschland absehen will.
Filialen einer Handelskette wurden heute angewiesen, sämtliche Vorbestellungen von Kunden zu löschen und auch keine Reservierungen mehr anzunehmen.

Von der USK liegt bis heute noch keine Altersfreigabe vor: Angeblich wurde Gears of War Click Picture bereits mehrfach zur Prüfung vorgelegt, aber jedesmal wurde eine Alterskennzeichnung verweigert.

Sollten die Aussagen des Handels zutreffen, müssten deutsche Käufer auf eine Importversion ausweichen. Es ist damit zu rechnen, dass diese Importversion von Gears of War Click Picture innerhalb weniger Tage von der Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien indiziert wird.

Microsoft hat diese Meldung nicht bestätigt und nicht kommentiert: Offiziell wird die Veröffentlichung von Gears of War Click Picture in Deutschland weiterhin mit November 2006 angegeben.

"Gears of War" (MGS): Die Microsoft Deutschland GmbH steht, wie in der Vergangenheit, zu den eingegangenen Selbstverpflichtungen und erkennt die USK als Instanz für die Alterskennzeichnung von Spielen für den deutschen Markt ausdrücklich an. Bei der internationalen Version des Spieletitels "Gears of War" für das System Xbox 360 der Microsoft Game Studios wurde von der Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK), dem Förderverein für Jugend und Sozialarbeit e. V., die Alterskennzeichnung gemäß §14 des Jugendschutzgesetzes verweigert. Daher wird die Entertainment & Devices Division der Microsoft Deutschland GmbH den Titel "Gears of War" für Xbox 360 in Deutschland nicht veröffentlichen.

Eine spezielle Version für den deutschen Markt, die eine technische und inhaltliche Veränderung einschließt um eine Bewertung der USK zu erhalten, ist nach Rücksprache zwischen den Entwicklern und der USK ohne grundlegende Eingriffe in das Gamplay des Spiels nicht möglich. Durch solch tiefe Eingriffe würde die Erwartungshaltung der Spieler in Deutschland an das hohe Niveau des Spieles nicht mehr erfüllt und die Kompatibilität der Versionen untereinander via Xbox Live nicht mehr gewährleistet.

Aus diesem Grund wird in Deutschland "Gears of War" für Xbox 360 nicht erscheinen und für den deutschen Handel nicht bestellbar sein.

Capcom was forced to leave out the minigames and weapons, that were connected to the games. The violence itself was untouched.

As much as it sucks in video game related affairs, that's really not a bad way of looking at things. In the US, any given evening hour can pamper you with dramas following the exploits of rapists, murderers and other crud, but show a nipple and the nation will throw itself into a fit. It's really quite disturbing, and very different from the culture that I grew up in. The mentality there is similar to that in Germany, but with less horsey action.

well i'm not for beastiality or whatever, I just love the contrast of post around these things. When nudity like the hot coffee thing came about and all the drama was in full effect, you had tons of people crying about how it's stupid that we allow insane violence but not a booby shot.

Germany allows the boobies but not the people being cut in half stuff. And now some people will run in calling them backwards.

Though as an american, I will say that violence has more place in videogames then nudity, so I would rather a ban on nudity in this instance.
